14 Arizona rest areas have been designated ‘Safe Phone Zones’ through the state’s first fully implemented public-private partnership.
A sponsorship agreement with GEICO is designed to enhance highway safety and promote the use of rest areas as “Safe Phone Zones.” This multi-year sponsorship agreement, through the contract with Infrastructure Corporation of America, will bring in much-needed revenue to the state’s highway system for reinvestment in rest areas.
The Alabama welcome center/rest area on the southbound side of I-65 as seen from 7500ft. as we flew back to Springfield, TN. The Saturn rocket is a notable landmark for travelers driving south out of Tennessee.
The new Mohawk Valley Welcome Center on the westbound side of the NY State Thruway is at Lock 13 on the NY State Barge Canal on the Mohawk River with the CSX mainlines across the river.

We veered off of I5 at Shasta, and took the road between McCloud and Susanville to get to Reno. It gave us the opportunity to enjoy the snow in the Lassen National Forest. The bulk of these shots were taken at the Bogard Rest Area.

This was roughly circular when I started, I had to "erase" 2 partial support posts and clone-stamped through an entire black corner...
about 6 inches of ship didn't turn up when it was all said and done but it was such an inconsequencial piece I "borrowed" from another part of the ship... hope you enjoy!
Gas was cheap in NJ, only $3.39 a gallon, compared to $3.49+ everywhere else.
All of the NJ service areas are "full service" too.. so I didn't even have to get out & operate the pump myself.

We have made it home from our road trip to Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, back to New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa for a total of 4,906 miles.
Trust me, that is a major accomplishment given our summer. Our trusty rental Camry gave us good mileage with over 32 MPG for almost every fill. Tomorrow, we unpack and start shopping for a new car to replace the stolen one.

This is the Lost Trail Pass rest area, where I'd pulled in to sleep. There was snow on the ground there!

In case you’re wondering why I have a pair of shorts hanging from the bike, it’s because I wash my clothes in streams and rest areas as I go, and the bike serves as the dryer.

July 10, 2020 - A water faucet and black eyed susans at the Seagrove Welcome Center Visitor's Center rest area off of Interstate 74. My wife and I traveled to Virginia today to meet and visit a few members of her family.
All things considered, I would sooner stop at the Middle Spunk Rest Area located along Middle Spunk Creek. While not as pleasant as Lesser Spunk Creek (if you can call it "pleasant" at all), it nonetheless has nowhere near the foul smell of Greater Spunk Creek. On a hot day, you're thankful for shit like that.
