Oh, and there's a reel of 5,000 capacitors at the bottom. Gotta love ebay...

20 point meeting agenda, short rave party, and lots of things that blink.

ABOUT RESISTOR/CAPACITOR SERIES

(All images have been created in the darkroom and transferred onto 20x24 sheets of reflective metal, creating an ethereal illumination when light hits the surface of the work.)

Growing up out in the country comes with strange eccentricities like having deer spotters’ bright headlights shine into our yards and windows; our lives. The abrasive lights catch deer, as well as people, doing what they do in their natural habitats. The light freezes us in time and the spotters make judgments about what they see. Too often, these judgments are made blindly with little perspective.

My journey through motherhood has illuminated the primal voice inside. My Resistor/Capacitor Series is an illustrative narration, through collage and darkroom photography, of my inner dialogue and the disconnect between our inherent animal instincts and learned social niceties. We are hard-wired with instincts. In electric circuitry, a capacitor embraces and holds. A resistor introduces resistance into an electric circuit. To be a capacitor, in my series, means that animal instincts are validated by honoring and trusting in them.

My process requires little digital work and is very much hands on. I cut and paste interesting and meaningful materials like butterfly wings, hair, teeth, breast pump tubing, raw egg yolk, oil, as well as other found scrap items onto a plate of glass furnished with a transparency of human forms in order to create a new and unusual environment.

I added bleeder resistors onto the multiplier. I wish I would get the switches and the dekatron I ordered so I can continue with the project.

seen in Halle/Saale, Germany; he was a Nazi resistor and murdered

Well, ready as soon as I sacrifice an RCA cable or scrounge an RCA socket to get the signal into it.

My setup, uploading code to my board.

My Cateye velo5 bike computer stopped working, after taking it apart and looking at it under a microscope few solder joints on the smd components are cracked. Those capacitors and resistors are 1.5mm long and about 1mm wide, really tiny ! You can see the capacitor in the middle, the solder joint is cracked.

Good old lead based solder fixed the problem.

I also took a ohm reading of the contacts on the monting bracket with the reed switch in close position and it was 2 to 5M ohm...

the contacts were pressed in the insulation of the wire, "scotch lock style"...

I done the connection properly with solder and now the connection is good, 0 ohm.

The odometer is working perfectly now.

These 24 ohm resistor earrings dangle 1.75 inches from the top of the earwire to the bottom of the three resistors.

Always illuminated light bulbs. Just an idea, NOT CHECKED!

Circular action of Capacitor, Resistor, Light bulb and Solar panel.

Principle of discharging one Capacitor in another. this can be also battery with loss of current, but not for mobile phones

Zach brought a bunch of stuff!

I got some noise on the SPI lines cousing some strange dots to appear on the screen.. By mounting some resistors on the last RGB Matrix board I could prevent this

It took a while, but eventually I tracked down this bad resistor. It should be 3,3M but measures infinite.

Two Daven Radio glass-tube resistors. The one on the left is 25,000 ohms; the one on the right is 15,000 ohms. They didn't age well--both measured several megohms.

Got my shipment of LEDs today. WOOT!

50 pack of color change LEDs and the free resistors.
