Here is a close up of the ballast r. What I was saying is that I can actually turn the resistor completely over with the two connectors attached the same way (so the black would be connected to the now top 2 prongs and the white to the bottom, as before.)

Note: What is the B value:

Here i used 2 100ohm resistors. You only need about 180ohms for 2 LEDs, but if you use more its fine.
