A simple circuit that cleverly uses two capacitors & four resistors to use the charge from a AAA battery to pulse an LED without needing an IC! Probably interesting only to those into electronics ;-)

2 chains of 100 Ohm resistors for use in a Single Bus Keyboard Controller. Soon I'll actually be able to play melodies!

This area of the PCB holds the DC rectifier diode, smoothing capacitor and voltage regulation circuit. The output voltage is set by a TL431 IC and a pair of resistors (R9 and R10). Changing those resistors allows us to change the output voltage from 7.4V to some other, more useful, voltage. I plan to make a 7.0V version to power an Apple Newton.

The output voltage is 2.5 * ((R9 + R10) / R10). So, making R9 = R10 will give us 5.0V (allowing for the tolerance of the resistors). For 6.0V, make R9 4.7k and R10 3.3k. For 19.5V, R9 = 6.8k and R10 = 1k, but remember to change the output capacitor for one with a higher voltage rating.

The Ke terminating resistor absorbs the pulse coming from the Ke Generator.

This resistor must be adapted to the Impedance system ( 16.67 Ohms ).

For hearing aids and industrial high-frequency probe tips, the Vishay Techno HML miniature axial-leaded thick film resistor is encapsulated in a robust plastic housing and offers an ultra-compact 1.85 mm by 0.91 mm case size.

Both resistors were connected at one stage.

I wonder if this was OME or has "some one" modified the wiring?

Resistors bolted, holes drilled and tapped. Heatsink compound added.

This view shows how the switching resistors are wired to the potentiometer.

The pot will then be placed back on the whammy bar

The photo captures the graves of resistors and political prisoners, victims of Nazi crimes. These graves are located in the military section of the Borgerhout cemetery in Antwerp, Belgium, which includes graves from both World War I and World War II. This row of victims serves as a stark reminder of the sacrifices made in the pursuit of freedom and justice.

In today's world, we continue to witness modern-day war crimes that resonate with the atrocities of the past. Conflicts around the globe still claim innocent lives and silence dissenting voices. The legacy of these graves demands that we reflect on the ongoing struggle against tyranny and oppression, urging us to confront the injustices present in contemporary conflicts. It is a call to action, one that encourages vigilance and advocacy for human rights, so that we remain ever aware of the lessons of history and the necessity of defending our freedoms.

The middle 2.2M Ohm resistor is slightly different from the others. It's a 10% tolerance carbon resistor, whereas the other two are metal film, 5%. Carbon resistors are obsolete now, and 10% tolerance is another indication that this is an old part, older than the rest of the scope. That means it's been changed before. I measured it, and it's open circuit.
