Fort Valley State University hosted the sixth annual Research Day on Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.Students showcased research findings from a variety of academic disciplines from FVSU’s four colleges: Agriculture, Family Sciences and Technology; Arts and Sciences, Education; and Graduate Studies and Extended Education.

Under the Bihari Krishna Fellowship in Ethnographic Research set up at Social Science Baha (SSB), a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between SSB and the Central Department of Anthropology (CDA) at Tribhuvan University to set up two fellowship: i. PhD ethnographic research fellowship, and ii. PhD dissertation-to-book fellowship. The duration of the PhD ethnographic research fellowship will be one year and of the PhD dissertation-to-book fellowship, six months. The Bihari Krishna Fellowship in Ethnographic Research was set up in 2011 through a donation of Rs 5 million from Bihari Krishna Shrestha, one of the pioneering anthropologists of Nepal. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr Shrestha by Professor Nirmal Man Tuladhar, Chair of SSB and Dr Dambar Chemjong, Head of Department at CDA on 4 November 2019 at the CDA.

This system was a system by Mr. Edgar Villchur's invention, and it was developed in order to remove the fault of the speaker till then with which harmonic distortion increases especially in low-pitched sound. By this system, the box without corn paper with high intensity, an air leak, and resonance by which full sealing was carried out is used, the parasitism vibration at the time of a low-pitched sound play is braked, and distortion is suppressed. Finishing of the exterior serves as oil finish of the walnut.

Nearly 300 experts working to address the complex illegal wildlife trade (IWT) issue worldwide joined us to discuss how we can collaborate and address research gaps to ensure the best evidence is informing action and policy (www.illegalwildlifetrade.net/iwt18event). A large delegation of the Evidence to Action organisers and presenters were then invited to attend the UK government’s London Conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade 2018 to further represent research and help close the divide between evidence and policy. A summary of the research evidence on the trade’s scale, impacts and complexity, the remaining evidence gaps and how we can move forward efficiently following the events, can be found in the Briefing Note (osf.io/preprints/socarxiv/35ndz/).

NASA Dryden Flight Research Center has operated two T-34C aircraft. The first was previously flown at the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, for propulsion experiments involving turboprop engines, and then came to Dryden as a chase aircraft in 1996. That aircraft was returned to the US Navy in 2002. Dryden obtained its second T-34C in early 2005 from the Navy's Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at NAS Patuxent River, where it was due to be retired. At Dryden, the T-34C is primarily used for chasing remotely piloted unmanned air vehicles which fly slower than NASA's F-18's mission support aircraft can fly. It is also used for required pilot proficiency flying.

This project consisted of two phases resulting in the completion of a 20,000 SF State-of-the-Art Dialysis Treatment facility, with a 7,500 SF addition for patient screening.

 

A combination of sewer discharge and on-site leaching is utilized for the RO waste management.

 

A Steel and Masonry shell, with abundant natural skylighting contains highend medical finishes, casework, and nurses stations.

 

The original was building occupied in 1997, with the addition completed in 2001.
