This i pretty worn - it will come in a new color soon.

I have so many empty candles from bath and body works and decided to clean them out and plant some things in them. This cactus plant turned out nice!

London, United Kingdom

Our attention was inevitably drawn to this grand white building while walking along Whitehall. It used to be the War Office for three centuries until the 1960s, and now has become a luxury hotel! Right next to it is the statue of the 8th Duke of Devonshire, a statesman who has held positions in the Army as well as the Parliament.

@dailyshoot #ds208 Reduce, reuse, recycle. Plus other Daily Shoot images for Assignment #ds208

This assignment was a challenge, in part due to the day's schedule, but also because there are few recycled items I could think of that seemed especially photogenic on the day -- maybe it was my mood?

This one's a bit of a stretch, though it does hearken back to one of the earliest popular trends in re-purposing material (Army surplus) that might otherwise have been trashed. The plastic water bottle reminds us of how much further we need to be going, though in this household the bottles do tend to see multiple uses, at least.

These shelves originally purchased at Target, costing about $100 and was used in the living room for 7 years. The shelves were almost let go of on Craigslist, who buys generic White shelves?

These shelves were a perfect fit replacing the existing built in shelves.

Formerly a Haggar shirt. Constructed with repurposed knit for binding, grosgrain ribbon ties, and pleats across front and back.

This bag was made from 2 linen napkins. I tried to incorporate the open weave on the edges as much as I could.

First you poke a few holes, and then scissors can get in. The idea is to ring the bottom of each plastic receptacle with enough holes to allow feed to flow out when the tray gets empty.

Victorian Style Re-imagined

One of my favorites. All made from repurposed men's shirts.

I wanted to keep it as organic as possible, letting the back of the drawer show through, so I didn't cut all of the photos to fit exactly.
