The choices made during the design process for Wennekerpand, an Industrial theater-café in Schiedam are though. Made by Studio Bertjan Pot, it all started with a new safety ladder and carnival lights. When they arrived it suddenly seemed like the perfect illogical combination to make. Rawness and glitter. The installation is called ‘Stairway to heaven’ the repurposed ladders became a brilliant and attractive object, there to illuminate.

I love these old neighborhood retail buildings. In my utopia, we'll be able to have them re-open again as produce stores, general stores, fix-it places, etc.

Most of these rocks came from I don't know where. I remember collecting them some time when I was with my aunt and uncle, and I remember coating them with shellac in order to keep them looking "wet" because I thought they were prettier that way. They've been sitting in a box in my parents' attic for years, and I finally hauled them home and put them to work edging a bit of my garden. Eventually I'd like to put a St. Francis statue in this corner.

Not the best photo, I'm having trouble getting my self-timed photos to focus properly. I'll post better photos when I find buttons and have them on.

I'm so excited about this new line of lunch bags. No one else will have a lunch bag as unique as you!

Each bag is made from one leg of a pair of jeans and the seams from the jeans make the lunch bag so visually interesting! The edges are finished with contrasting ribbon for a super clean and cool look. These bags also have ribbon handles for easy carrying!

This lunch bag features a repurposed USA map tablecloth for the lining.

Every bag has been thoroughly laundered and are totally machine washable in cold water and dried on low for a long and durable life.

This statue originally stood by the Wild Mouse. Now that the Wild Mouse is gone, it has been repurposed for the Hot Tamale ride (which has Speedy Gonzales-esque cars).

Or else I'll repurpose you as envelopes.

The instructions were poorly written & the pictures didn't help. But, the sample art was lovely.

Nice envelopes.

I thought this piece was successful as its multi functioning (it can become a head accessory, necklace, belt, bracelet and a ring), due to using a unique inventive way of joining mechanism; Korean traditional Dragonfly knot, because it can be attached and detached, allowing to vary the length and size of the piece. I also thought that the Dragonfly knot related to the concept of the sea, as this insect lay their eggs on the surface of water and at the end of the larval stage, comes out of the water, climbs on a blade of grass, sheds its casing for the last time, and the adult emerges. Which I thought this aspect of its life symbolises the union of the water and earth, transformation and renewal.
