Another look back east at La Recyclerie/Gare Ornano. The left platform has been turned into shared garden spaces while the right platform serves as outdoor seating for the restaurant with picnic tables and umbrellas. There were quite a few people out as I ran by.
This super cute practice book is made from repurposed green hanging file folders and lined handwriting practice paper, both procured at local yard sales. Each book contains 10 pieces of paper, folded in half, for a total of 20 pages, lined on both sides. The pages have been machine stitched to the file folder cover. Measures 7.25" high x 6.25" wide.
These shelves originally purchased at Target, costing about $100 and was used in the living room for 7 years. The shelves were almost let go of on Craigslist, who buys generic White shelves?
These shelves were a perfect fit replacing the existing built in shelves.

Really nice repurposed TV as a vertical planter ! Love the rusty look and the choosen plants.
Check out B's feeder - with a frisbee top! and repurposed (maple) cabinet doors on the left and right of the feeder so the girls can come out in the yard and play, or S can finally get them to race (note to self don't teach him to work the latches on the doors!).
Another perpetual calendar, this one made with very vintage sewing pattern packaging. They just need the magnets added to the back. I need to figure out what metal sewing related item to stick them on.

I cleaned my desk last night. The old coffee tin is a great utensil holder.
I may or may not paint it some day soon.
I recovered plain muslin bags with some linen fabric from a childs dress.. super cute now! I blogged about them here: cheryl-comfort.blogspot.com/
Made D a t-shirt & pants from a woman's long sleeve shirt. The pants are from the sleeves & then cut the shirt pieces from the body of the shirt.

What does one do with an abandoned mine shaft? Use it for storage, of course. Rather than construct a storage shed for their canoes, some folks along the Grizzly River decided that Eureka Mine Shaft No. 2 would be an excellent place to store their long, narrow boats.

Love working with wood and I got the idea in my head to build a coffee table out of repurposed wooden pallets. The pallet planks were sanded and stained, all joints are screwed in and not nailed. I'm going to post more ideas as soon as I finish it.

This purpose-built clothesline has been re-purposed to hold potted plants. The washing line has become a garden, this remains transformative of the façades fabric but does not change daily as the washing does now.
An old church stands in the middle of CSUMB's campus. I'm not sure of the
history behind it but people must have attended religious mass here at some
point in time. Whether it was the military population stationed here or
just normal locals, this building was once a beacon for religious faith.
However, today it stands as a simple meeting house for the student body. It
represents how religion has less of a general influence today, than it did
in the past.
