Is the title of this reproduction painting by ' Fred Elwell' (1870-1958)..it is placed on a wall in Register Street in Beverley Town Centre,
This was the Repro that I really wanted out of all of the 50th anniversary dolls (though they are all really cool!! Maybe I can pick up the rest...) Anyway, I think she looks pretty good, I like the repro of the outfit that came with her.. the only things I would really complain about are she has the dreaded stiff hair and I think her eyelashes are too long.

This is reproduction Barbie head that I purchased and requested this hair color and cut. When she arrived, I put her on a Barbie articulated body.
Her white top is Sparkle Girlz and the jacket & pants are Mattel. Her shoes are Mattel also.
I added some of my jewelry.
I made these columns out of cardboard many years ago.
The ceramic cat was a thrift store find from years ago.
The floor is felt that I glued onto wood. I used a gold decorative metal sheet from Home Depot and put a gold placement behind it as I was trying to create a gold room. I would have liked to have added a chandelier but I don't have one. I wanted to give the illusion of a high end department store.
Black Grouse getting in a flap on the Denbigh Moors earlier this month. As impressive as they are, they're comical to watch - especially when 15+ cocks give it their best to impress the fairer sex :)

The original is carved in sandstone and located on the exterior of the apse of the church of St. Sebaldus, Nuremberg, Germany. It is dated ca. 1490-1492. This large relief was created by Adam Kraft, who was a leading sculptor of the final phase of the Late Gothic period in Germany.
The plaster cast is located in the the Victoria and Albert Cast Court in South Kensington,London, U.K. Having never seen the original, this representations of the Passions, entombment and Resurrection of Christ was one of my favorite copies to examine at the V&A.
The cast is dated 1872 and created by Jacob Rotermundt.

Installation for an exhibition. Reproduction of the Church of the light designed by the architect Tadao Ando. The exhibition is in the church. For the opening a place in front of the church is installed for a live piano concert and a ballet dancer.

i first heard the phrase (a reference to a work by Walter Benjamin) either in a documentary or an advert on Ovation TV
i liked the sound of it and wanted to use it as a title for something; it sounded too snarky to go to waste
i definitely wanted to poke fun at/make a statement about 20th/21st century mechanical reproduction
so towards the end of 2007 i made a quick 15 second animation where it seemed like the image was being built element by element as it was exiting a photocopy machine (mechanical reproduction... get it?)
fast forward to mid 2009 and i think "why not take it to an even more absurd end and warhol it (to a point) and destroy it even more?"
high art? eh, surely not
but it is (hopefully) a fun visually oriented pun

I've read that dandelions have been cultivated for centuries, and were brought to North America by colonists, who used each part of the plant. Now, the wild variety are a frustration for gardeners and people who want pristine lawns. They don't bother me much . . . unless I'm struggling with their tap root!

This is another homage to Rene Magritte. His painting (original of course, as opposed to my derivative photo) is called Not to be Reproduced.
Originally, I'd intended to borrow his title as well as his idea. But "not for reproduction" is completely apt for me... given my child-free status. A comment on my physical as well as photographic self.
Although... speaking of reproduction... I SOLD one of my photos. I'd agreed to have it used for a book cover several months ago. Today I had an e-mail advising me to send in an invoice for $225. Woo hoo! (By the way, the pic on the book cover is this one). It looks much better all designed-like.

This was one of the most peculiar things I've ever seen. Two Giant Gardenslugs (Limax maximus), intertwined, dangling five feet up from the side of a tree, with a blue, pulsing, jellyfish-like thing dangling below them from the sides of their heads. Apparently, this is how slugs, who are hermaphroditic, reproduce. Life must be pretty dull for your average slug, but an aerial acrobatic tryst would certainly liven things up.

Biggest part of the diet seems to be wasps and Yellow Jackets. Ouch!
