El castillo de Burgalimar (del árabe Burj al-Hamma, 'torre de los Baños'), es una fortaleza califal, construida en el siglo x sobre un pequeño cerro que domina la localidad de Baños de la Encina, situada en el norte de la provincia de Jaén (Andalucía, España).
Rodeado y flanqueado por una robusta y almenada muralla con catorce torres, más una decimoquinta torre del homenaje de factura cristiana, el castillo apenas ha sufrido daños, ya sean causados por el tiempo o la acción humana. Representa por tanto un ejemplo perfecto de fortaleza andalusí del siglo x, y constituye el conjunto fortificado mejor preservado de la época califal, al mismo tiempo que es uno de los castillos musulmanes mejor conservados de toda España. Su inestimable valor histórico y artístico es la razón por la que este castillo llegó a ser declarado como Monumento Nacional en 1931.1os de la Encina (Jaén)

* El Castillo de Medellín comenzó siendo un campamento romano en 74 d.C. En el siglo XIII se convirtió en una fortaleza medieval. Después de la reconquista del castillo en el año 1234 por Fernando III el Santo, perteneció a varios dueños durante el siglo XIV. El castillo lo reconstruyó el rey Enrique II, en el año 1357, si bien no alcanzó su forma definitiva hasta la segunda mitad del siglo XV. Entre los años 1475 y 1479, tomó parte a favor de Juana la Beltraneja al igual que la mayoría de la nobleza extremeña.
Se encuentra emplazado sobre una colina junto al río Guadiana. Fue declarado monumento histórico artístico y bien de interés cultural en 1931.

Dans le 1er arrondissement, tout près de la Saône et à proximité de la Place des Terreaux, de l’Hôtel de ville de Lyon et à l’angle du 49 Quai Saint-Vincent et du 2 rue de la Martinière, on trouve une immense fresque peinte sur une façade d’immeuble, dénommée “la Fresque des Lyonnais”…
Celle-ci représente des personnages historiques lyonnais ainsi que des personnages contemporains. Un tableau permet, étage par étage, de consulter le nom de chacun.

Protea is both the botanical name and the English common name of a genus of South African flowering plants, sometimes also called sugarbushes or fynbos. The family is Proteaceae. In local tradition, the protea flower represents change and hope. The extraordinary richness and diversity of species characteristic of the Cape flora are thought to be caused in part by the diverse landscape, where populations can become isolated from each other and in time develop into separate species. The main vectors responsible for the transfer of pollen in protea cultivation are birds, insects, and wind. Some Protea species exhibit both self-pollination and cross-pollination as a method of reproduction. Cross-pollination is preferred, though, as a method of reproduction because it provides genetic diversity in the population. When cultivating proteas, breeders use hand pollination as a controlled method to transfer pollen from one flower to another. Proteas usually flower during spring. The general structure of their flower heads consists of a mass of flowers on a woody receptacle. The ovary is protected by the receptacle, thus is not seen when looking at the flower, but the anthers are present at the top of the flower, which can then easily transfer the pollen to the vectors. 11113

Amanita muscaria, commonly known as the fly agaric (pronounced /ˈ or fly Amanita (pronounced , is a poisonous and psychoactive basidiomycete fungus, one of many in the genus Amanita. Native throughout the temperate and boreal regions of the Northern Hemisphere, Amanita muscaria has been unintentionally introduced to many countries in the Southern Hemisphere, generally as a symbiont with pine plantations, and is now a true cosmopolitan species. It associates with various deciduous and coniferous trees. The quintessential toadstool, it is a large white-gilled, white-spotted, usually deep red mushroom, one of the most recognizable and widely encountered in popular culture. Several subspecies, with differing cap colour have been recognised to date, including the brown regalis (considered a separate species), the yellow-orange flavivolata, guessowii, and formosa, and the pinkish persicina. Genetic studies published in 2006 and 2008 show several sharply delineated clades which may represent separate species.
Although generally considered poisonous, deaths are extremely rare, and it has been consumed as a food in parts of Europe, Asia, and North America after parboiling in water. Amanita muscaria is now primarily famed for its hallucinogenic properties, with its main psychoactive constituent being the compound muscimol. Painted ceramic benches representing all the provinces in Spain are arranged round the square.
It was built because of the Ibero-american Exhibition of 1929, held in Seville. Its creator was Aníbal González. He mixed a style inspired by the Renaissance with typical elements from the city: exposed brick, ceramics and wrought iron (worked by Domingo Prida). Its floor plan is semicircular. It is dominated by 2 towers, one on each side of the enclosed area, which frame the central building where the main rooms are. Between the two towers runs a network of galleries with an arcade of semicircular arches leading to exits in different parts of the square, where a fountain stands.

"The Big E", which is America's Premier Exposition and world's only multi-state fair, representing all six New England States.
The first Eastern States Exposition occurred over 100 years ago in October 1916, and is now held every autumn in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Each year, the fair opens on the second Friday after Labor Day and runs for seventeen days . . Stop in, you won't be disappointed! : )

Representante de la arquitectura de finales del siglo XIX, obra del arquitecto Santiago Rebollar, que finalizó su construcción en 1892. Destaca la fachada principal, rematada con el escudo de la ciudad, y la de la Merced, con una tribuna de columnas jónicas coronadas por un frontón. Toda la parte baja del edificio es de piedra caliza blanca y la superior de ladrillo visto y piedra caliza.
En el interior una impresionante escalera, desarrollada en dos vertientes y cubierta por una cúpula decorada por Ángel Andrade y Samuel Luna. En sus galerías, como exposición permanente, destaca la obra de Andrade junto a otros pintores y escultores de la provincia.
C’est à la sollicitude de la famille d’Armand qu’est due la construction de l’église Notre-Dame. Datée de 1602 par des textes, elle a pris la suite d’un édifice ruiné par les guerres de Religion. Elle était jadis entourée du cimetière. Il s'agit de l’église paroissiale, bien qu’elle soit curieusement excentrée par rapport à l’agglomération agglutinée au pied du château, où se trouve la chapelle Saint-Roch.
L'édifice est conforme aux façons de bâtir les petites églises rurales dans la région à cette époque. Elle se compose d’une nef unique de deux travées voûtées en berceau surbaissé et d’un chœur plus étroit, voûté plus bas de la même manière, suivi d’une abside de même largeur, voûtée en cul-de-four. Une petite sacristie au nord, une chapelle rectangulaire au sud, des tribunes en bois dans la seconde travée de la nef, pour augmenter les capacités d’accueil, et un clocher-arcade juché sur le chœur ont été aménagés au cours des siècles suivants. La nef a conservé sa chaire à prêcher en noyer sculpté du XVIIe s. (classée M. H.). Dans la chapelle sud, le tableau d’autel représente la Madone du Rosaire entre saint Dominique et sainte Catherine de Sienne.

No matter how large or how small a given space may be there’s always room for colors to share that space. A tree has so much space to share with lots of vivid colors. Look at the colors or shades that Autumn provides us at its peak. A Maple tree is a good example. On a smaller scale look at the most colorful fish in an aquarium. One fish can house several colors within its body. Though many flowers appear to represent basically one color such as a Red Rose, a Yellow Rose etc., this rose caught my attention in that there are no less than two beautiful “Colors Sharing Space” Nature continues to amaze and impress us with miracles (plants, animals and people) that come in many colors yet sharing small spaces. Isla representa una serie de playas que al Este muestra el pueblo y las playas de Noja, al Norte el pueblo de Arnuero, donde se ubica el Ayuntamiento y al Oeste encontramos el Cabo de Ajo. Las playas que contemplamos en la imagen pertenecen al Barrio de Quejo, hasta llegar al cabo del mismo nombre.
Todos estos espacios muestran muy bien su diferente aspecto según las horas de la marea. En este imagen nos hallamos en la bajamar, con unas arenas limpísimas y unas aguas que reflejan la montaña del fondo.
Instalaciones hoteleras como la que contemplamos en el centro de la imagen acreditan una gran presencia de turistas y visitantes de segundas residencias. Podemos asegurar que en diez años toda la hostelería de la zona ha crecido exponencialmente.

According to Google, Red Dahlias represent strength and perseverance. The white petals indicate innocence, purity, and new birth. I just think they're pretty.

Las Alondras y todos los representantes de su familia los alaudidos, son cada día mas escasos,
Habitantes de espacios abiertos, sufren como otras tantas especies de aves, la explotación intensiva de muchos pastizales.
Campos de cultivo de cereales de crecimiento rápido que se siegan antes de que las aves puedan haber terminado su ciclo reproductor y rociados de herbicidas y pesticidas que envenenan a sus presas, la verdad es que no lo tienen fácil para sobrevivir.
Sin embargo, bastan que en esos cultivos intensivos, se dejen pequeñas parcelas de terrenos sin sembrar, donde crezcan las mal llamadas malas hierbas y no se echen tantos pesticidas y herbicidas a los cultivos, que al final también nosotros los terminamos ingiriendo y acumulando en nuestros tejidos, para que las alondras y demás aves habitantes de estos espacios, pudiesen criar y alimentarse.
¿Estaremos dispuestos a ello?.
En algunos lugares se hace con resultados muy buenos en lo referente a los aguiluchos cenizos y pálidos,
Ojala esa sensibilidad cada vez este mas presente, pero tengo muchas dudas de ello.

Desde este lugar, el romano egabrense, Tribuno Militar de la VI Legión, Marco Cornelio, hizo construir un acueducto que condujo estas aguas hasta la población de Igabrum. Y así consta en la epigrafía que se puede encontrar en dicho lugar.
La Fuente del Río está declarada paraje de interés natural a nivel internacional.

En los últimos días, si queremos acoger al Señor, no sólo debemos tener un discernimiento de los comportamientos de los falsos Cristos, sino que, lo que es más importante, debemos conocer la esencia de Cristo, lo cual es la verdad más fundamental y crucial.
Dios Todopoderoso dice: “Aquel que es Dios encarnado poseerá la esencia de Dios, y Aquel que es Dios encarnado tendrá la expresión de Dios. Puesto que Dios se hace carne, manifestará la obra que pretende llevar a cabo y puesto que se hace carne expresará lo que Él es; será, asimismo, capaz de traer la verdad al hombre, de concederle la vida y de señalarle el camino. La carne que no contiene la esencia de Dios definitivamente no es el Dios encarnado; de esto no hay duda. Si el hombre pretende investigar si es la carne encarnada de Dios, entonces debe corroborarlo a partir del carácter que Él expresa y de las palabras que Él habla. Es decir, para corroborar si es o no la carne encarnada de Dios y si es o no el camino verdadero, la persona debe discernir basándose en Su esencia. Y, así, a la hora de determinar si se trata de la carne de Dios encarnado, la clave yace en Su esencia (Su obra, Sus declaraciones, Su carácter y muchos otros aspectos), en lugar de fijarse en Su apariencia externa”.

De las palabras de Dios, podemos ver que la esencia de Cristo es Dios encarnado. En otras palabras, el Espíritu de Dios del cielo se reviste de carne y se convierte en el Hijo del hombre para obrar entre los hombres. Aunque es ordinario y normal por fuera, posee una esencia divina. Por lo tanto, Cristo es capaz de expresar la verdad, la voz de Dios y hacer la obra de salvar a la humanidad. Así como el Señor Jesús, quien era Dios encarnado, Cristo, y a pesar de que era una persona común y corriente en apariencia, puso fin a la Era de la Ley y abrió la Era de la Gracia, expresando la verdad, otorgando a las personas el camino del arrepentimiento, haciendo la obra de redimir a toda la humanidad mediante la crucifixión y mostrando muchos milagros y prodigios. Además, el Señor Jesús también predicó por todas las partes, expresó la verdad en toda ocasión según las necesidades prácticas de las personas para proveer y pastorear a ellas, y Sus palabras y Su obra confirmaban plenamente que Él era Cristo. De la misma manera, Dios Todopoderoso encarnado ha venido en los últimos días, ha realizado la obra de juicio comenzando por la casa de Dios, ha expresado todas las verdades que purifican y salvan a la humanidad, ha revelado todo el misterio del plan de gestión de Dios y ha expuesto la raíz de del mal y tiniebla del mundo, la naturaleza satánica y los caracteres corruptos de la humanidad que peca y se resiste a Dios, al mismo tiempo, le ha indicado el camino de ser purificada del pecado, etc. De no haberse encarnado Dios, ¿quién podría expresar la verdad que purifica y salva a la humanidad? ¿Quién podría hacer la obra de purificar y salvar a la humanidad? With two Le Mans wins, dozens of grand prix victories, five Targa Florios, a Manufacturers’ Championship, and the build of some of the pre-war period’s most celebrated sports and luxury automobiles to its credit, it is no wonder that the Bugatti marque is regularly honored at world-class concours d’elegance and museums. The Molsheim, France-based brand is so esteemed that a commemoration of its 100th anniversary was never in doubt. So when the occasion arrived in 2009, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance duly pronounced Bugatti’s centenary as one of the event’s guiding themes.
This opportunity was not lost on Bugatti Automobiles SaS, the modern successor to Ettore Bugatti’s original Alsatian concern. The company’s signature product, the 1,001-horsepower Veyron 16.4, had spent years in careful development by the VW Group’s specialized engineers, and was received with justifiable acclaim by journalists and enthusiasts alike upon its 2005 introduction, redefining the benchmark for the modern hypercar in the process.
The Veyron was capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.46 seconds, en route to a top speed just over 408 km/h (nearly 254 mph). Built around a magnificent mid-mounted, quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 engine with four valves per cylinder and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, it astonished the world with its surefootedness even at the most extreme speeds, enabled by a full-time Haldex all-wheel-drive system. The stopping power was stunning, as the Veyron was anchored by massive carbon-ceramic disc brakes with 15.7-inch discs and eight-piston, four-pad calipers up front, while 15-inch discs with six-piston, two-pad calipers were mounted at the rear. The alloy wheels, respectively 20 and 21 inches at the front and rear, were shod with special Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 PAX run-flat tires engineered specifically for the Veyron.
Three different drive modes governed the dizzying array of technology: a Normal mode, at which the ride height was 4.9 inches; a Handling mode that deployed the rear spoiler and lowered ride height to 3.15 inches; and a special, key-activated High-Speed mode that dropped ride height to 2.56 inches in front and 2.75 at the rear, while changing the spoiler position. Even the car’s ancillary systems, including no fewer than 10 radiators, were marvels of automotive engineering conceived to perform under the most demanding circumstances.
All of this was encased within an intricately hand-crafted structure, actually shorter in overall length than a modern Porsche 911, though riding on a longer 106.7-inch wheelbase, while being noticeably lower and wider than the benchmark German sports car of the day. It was instantly and definitively recognizable as the pinnacle product that it aspired to be—the modern Bugatti, a sporting speed machine that looked and performed like absolutely nothing else on the road.

El 29 de abril de 1911, los señores Krabbe, King y Cía, vendieron el campo La Colina, a don Enrique Santamarina. Este último, realizó en el mes de abril, activas gestiones tendientes a la fundación de un pueblo. El proyecto del Nuevo pueblo La Colina, era un ensanche del pueblo de la misma denominación , que se encontraba frente a los servicios ferroviarios. El proyecto y replanteo del ejido urbano fue realizado por el ingeniero Santiago A. Ferreri. El Departamento de Ingenieros aprobó el proyecto el 18 de julio de 1911. El 22 de septiembre de 1911 , el Poder Ejecutivo aprobó el proyecto de la traza del pueblo, donde comenzó a nuclearse gran cantidad de vecinos. Las Tablas son uno de los últimos representantes de un ecosistema denominado tablas fluviales que se forman al desbordarse los ríos en sus tramos medios, favorecidos por fenómenos de semiendorreísmo y la escasez de pendientes. El humedal se forma en la confluencia del río Guadiana y su afluente Cigüela y es uno de los ecosistemas acuáticos más importantes de la península ibérica por la variedad y calidad de la fauna y flora que habitan en ella, así como por aquellas aves que la emplean en los pasos migratorios. Las Tablas sirve de refugio a más de 2.000 especies (plantas, aves, insectos, peces, réptiles... ).

This species was split from the N. beyeri lineage, which now represents populations in rivers and drainages west of the Perdido River. As adults, this species has few dark spots along the back and tail and an unspotted nose as well as a light unspotted belly. Because Necturus are completely aquatic, there are very few opportunities for dispersal and gene flow between populations. N. beyeri is thought to have several possible lineages that require further study.
