Resting on grass cuttings, a tough and scarred chalk Beachskull has made it to the road above the beach. I wonder what the story is?..

Johnny Cash - I've Been Everywhere

This was taken with a point and shoot camera. I cropped the edges, but it is otherwise unprocessed.

Mt. Shuksan in alpenglow taken from the Mountaineers Lodge at Mt. Baker, Washington State. I nearly deleted the picture because of the flaw. Several friends could not find the flaw, so here it is. (It is the reflection of the globe light in the lodge).

Repost - Macro Monday - White on white

Well I know, actually the same picture as yesterday, but I wasn’t really happy there because I missed the sun by a few minutes. So I went back to the same spot today, just a few minutes earlier to catch the sunset. I can’t say whether the picture is „nicer“ now, but at least I like it better this way. :)

...because I am in the garden

With apologies, this is a repost of an image I put up last week.

Bit of a saga. It went explore without my noticing, so huge thanks everyone and particularly to those who commented, and sorry for failing to reply!

But when I finally realised, and went to reply to folk, a lightroom update had messed up my whole Flickr stream. I’ve spent the last hour changing previously posted images back to ‘public’, and digging out this one (which had disappeared).

Ho hum.

I can finally proudly announce that Flickr has chosen my image of the red squirrel to be no. 7 in the Top 25 images of 2017!

You can view the other images and how flickr made the Top 25 at the Flickr Blog in the Explore tab.

Thanks everyone for your comments and favs in 2017, I really appreciate your visits!

Reposting it to provide it some additionnal views.

Happy Birthday, Rachel! Can't wait for spring to arrive so that we can get out to look for lots of birds. Before then, hopefully we will find a Snowy Owl (or two). Have a happy day!

This photo (a repost) was taken at the Calgary Zoo way back in 2007.

Repost of an old favorite

Repost from a photo taken in 2016 to celebrate the birth of our country. Let's hope for a return to national patriotism as our country deals with the COVID-19 virus. Stay safe.

[Repost for my friends] - The Horseshoe Bend in Arizona is one of the most unique natural land forms I have ever seen in my life. Its a meander of the Colorado River near the city of Page in Arizona.

It was blazing above a hundred degrees in the July of 2009. The walk to the Horse Shoe bend was a good quarter mile. We were panting and gulping loads of water as we reached to see the majestic beauty of this place.

This was the best shot I could get with my lens. In such situations, you need a SUPER WIDE lens!

Yup another repost. I've always liked this one...but daym my post processing on the original really sucked. The hell was I thinking? :D lol

Jessie was one week shy of her 4th birthday here.
