With apologies, this is a repost of an image I put up last week.

Bit of a saga. It went explore without my noticing, so huge thanks everyone and particularly to those who commented, and sorry for failing to reply!

But when I finally realised, and went to reply to folk, a lightroom update had messed up my whole Flickr stream. I’ve spent the last hour changing previously posted images back to ‘public’, and digging out this one (which had disappeared).

Ho hum.

I can finally proudly announce that Flickr has chosen my image of the red squirrel to be no. 7 in the Top 25 images of 2017!

You can view the other images and how flickr made the Top 25 at the Flickr Blog in the Explore tab.

Thanks everyone for your comments and favs in 2017, I really appreciate your visits!

Strange. The previous posting received 20 views in the first full hour.

At this rate, I think Flickr will chase all its members away.

Repost from a while ago

I posted another version of this in December, but I think this one is a bit better composed and sharper so thought I would put it up again.

And since I have been doing so little shooting lately I don't have a lot to post anyways!

Reposting an old macro shot from eight years ago, taken with the reverse 50mm technique. this is a bluebell. the stem is perhaps one millimetre in diameter.

Happy Birthday, Rachel! Can't wait for spring to arrive so that we can get out to look for lots of birds. Before then, hopefully we will find a Snowy Owl (or two). Have a happy day!

This photo (a repost) was taken at the Calgary Zoo way back in 2007.

I just accidently found out this photography won the Bedfordshire county section of the Great British Photograph. It's now in the running for the National competition. There is pretty tough competition but it's great to be a finalist :-)

We are all having a little withdrawal due to cam issues. Here is a video posted on Instagram by the zoo --- 🐼 Nom nom. Leaf eater biscuits are packed with vitamins, protein, fat and fiber. Our giant pandas love them, including #BeiBei.
