More than 30 accredited reporters attended the UXO Media Day along with Mayors of Vicenza, Costabissara and Caldogno held at the former Dal Molin Airport April 16.
Local Chief of Police and deputy prefect were also present.
After a slide presentation about the "Old Lady", a 4000-lb. World War II British bomb, authorities and reporters were taken to the UXO site and inspect the berm from inside.
Italian demolition experts will defuse, neutralize, and remove the bomb from the former airfield adjacent to Caserma Del Din on April 25.
