Waxhaw July 2010 Crime Report

Arcadia is finished. This is #2 of lace patterns out of The Sock Report I chose to knit. Need I say more...Thanks for the beautiful and clever design, Janel Laidman. It's been soaked and will be blocked later when I get home. When unstretched, it's 60" by 11". Not sure I really want to block hard as I love the "texture" in the flowers. I just love this delicate merino Filigran-singles shawlette. ♥¸.°´° ♥.¸¸.•°´°▪♥ღ

It would have been a one-day job if I didn't forget to "twist" the back stitches where charted. My brain was at outer space. So instead of ripping out 10 rows of those ribbed columns (72 total/each row,) I fixed 'em as I went with crochet hook--dropped down stitches, twisted, and hooked 'em back up. It would have been much quicker to just undo those rows!!!! I seem to like to do things the hard way lol

Next one will be Cassian but in what?? Handspun? Or commercial luscious yarn?

Report trip end of season Bacalar, Majahual and Progresso

As the season is ending, Morph team decided to explore some news destinations and eventually discover amazing spots where to ride and fly! The plan established Dylan and I prepare a trip for Bacalar and Majahual in the Costa Maya and finally, the windy statistics destination, Progresso.

Day 1

8 am, let’s go for Nativo where we have to meet Luis, he contacts us to invite discovering Bacalar. Huge breakfast, ready to go, fully equipped with 2 cars, 2 dogs, kite surf equipment and happy people J

Luis guided us to reach Bacalar; it was a rainy travel but still cool, Dylan and Baptiste following us in the Morph funky mobile. Passing Tulum, I discover a wild road through the jungle where we had the opportunity to see a lot of butterfly that could be a sign!!!

Right after, Luis’s truck overheat a bit, we stopped and did fulfill the water tank in Puerto Carrillo. Slowly, after nearly 4 hours of road, we arrived to Bacalar. We started to see pieces of blue water surrounded by jungle and houses giving directly on the lagoon… quiet excited even if it was raining, the place seems to have a lot of possibilities.

Luis did welcome us very well in his amazing house where we set up camp with a panoramic view and direct access on the lagoon, this place got everything to satisfy our mind. After in little turn into the owner’s place, we took the direction of the hotel Los Aluxes where Luis is working and proposes us a boat trip in the lagoon! For sure we’re in… Expecting wind like crazy guys, hasty to ride that place, we packed up everything in the boat.

Really nice atmosphere, wonderful landscapes, blue flat fresh water… we must ride here, but unfortunately no wind… we kept visiting different spots, Luis giving us the opportunity to see all what he knows from that place.

After some rest, we head out Chetumal to have dinner and Luis proposed us to make a turn by the casino.., Why not. Indeed, by playing slots machines, lucky Baptiste won 250 pesos. Pretty tired, we came back for a sleep in hoping better conditions for the next days.

From the February - April, 1928 report, photo from the Nashville Bridge Company. Maybe the person hanging from the crane is involved, but if not, what actually is happening here is "Mr. Dyer" is taking coke in the boiler of the crane on the left and converting the right crane to electric drive.

We upload seminar reports to the Classroom Weblog several times a month. That's Niall O'Brien at the controls.

The reports Im getting is that Chevy is drinking water like crazy but not eating a thing. I got up this morning and made him so bacon and beef and scrambled eggs with cheese on them and took the concoction over to him. I tried to hand feed him but he didnt want it. Then I opened his mouth and put some of the food in his mouth and then he started eating some. He has me so worried. Jill told me not to be alarmed as it was normal for him not to want to eat but he has been at my neighbors for 3 days now. Shouldn' that excitement of JEssie in heat worn off by now?? Im sure he is upset he isnt home so that could be the cause of his lack of appetite too....I hope my boy is ok though......I cant wai to bring him back home. Linda says he carries his stuffed animals all around her house....and wont let her lab near them. Those are his toys and he's NOT sharing them. lol...Please everyone keep the LouBear in your prayers.
