Mingle Media TV and our Red Carpet Report host Ine Back Iversen were invited to come out to cover the 3rd Annual ICON MANN POWER 50 event at Mr. C’s in Beverly Hills which spotlights the top 50 black power players in entertainment along with those who have been honored as past or present Oscar contenders.
Prior to the dinner, we were on hand for the arrivals and got to speak with several honorees and guests about the event and importance to be part of the conversation. Students from the California State University, Chico arrived the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Clinic for 10-days of clinical outreach.
Many of the elderly locals who reported had mild to severe vision impairment and wished for their problems to be addressed.
The students ended up doubling up as both nurses and optometrists. Many of the elderly locals like the old man in the picture left with corrective glasses for their refractive errors.

The Formby Civic Society holds 8 of these Reports in their archive. Thanks to the brilliant work of our member Jon Everett, he has traced a further 35 years' reports as PDF files covering most of the years from 1906 to 1973. Jon also converted each of the pages to individual JPG files allowing data and reports to be linked to other relevant archived images.
These PDF files were digitised by the Internet Archive Org in 2017 with funding from the Wellcome Library and provide an interesting insight to population, births, deaths and general health issues in Formby over a period spanning 57 years.
PDF files for the years 1906 - 1937 - 1947 – 1955 - 1960 – 1972 have been prepared for viewing on our website and can be accessed by clicking on the link below :-

There is little to report here, except the observation that the stands on the Pakistan side are slowly filling as well. Notice the India (left) and Pakistan (right) flags fluttering along in the foreground. These will be later taken down and retired to their respective sides of the border while the border itself closes for the night. Apologies for the poor photo quality- this was due to a defective zoom lens, oil stains on the lens filter thanks to kid the previous night in Amritsar and the general late afternoon haze.
