Big Hero 6 is one of the twenty animated feature films submitted for consideration in the 87th Academy Awards.

Wikipedia reports: Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. About “Switched at Birth”
Switched at Birth, a one-hour scripted drama, tells the story of two teenage girls who discover they were accidentally switched as newborns in the hospital. Bay Kennish grew up in a wealthy family with two parents and a brother, while Daphne Vasquez, who lost her hearing at an early age due to a case of meningitis, grew up with a single mother in a poor neighborhood. About Creed
From Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema comes award-winning filmmaker Ryan Coogler’s “Creed.” The film explores a new chapter in the “Rocky” story and stars Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone in his iconic role. The film also reunites Coogler with his “Fruitvale Station” star Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed. Adonis Johnson (Jordan) never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. Still, there’s no denying that boxing is in his blood, so Adonis heads to Philadelphia, the site of Apollo Creed’s legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa. Agreeing to take him on, Rocky trains the young fighter, even as the former champ is battling an opponent more deadly than any he faced in the ring. Once in the City of Brotherly Love, Adonis tracks Rocky (Stallone) down and asks him to be his trainer.
“Creed” also stars Tessa Thompson (“Selma,” “Dear White People”) as Bianca, a local singer-songwriter who becomes involved with Adonis; Phylicia Rashad (Lifetime’s “Steel Magnolias”) as Mary Anne Creed, Apollo’s widow; and English pro boxer and former three-time ABA Heavyweight Champion Anthony Bellew as boxing champ “Pretty” Ricky Conlan.

Mingle Media TV’s Red Carpet Report team were on hand for the 2015 D23 Expo, billed as the Ultimate Disney Fan Event, held every two years showcasing the past, present and future of Disney programs. FYI: D23 refers to D for Disney and 23 for 1923, the year Walt Disney arrived in Hollywood.
The fourth D23 Expo was held on August 14–16, 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Ca and celebrated the past 60 years since Disneyland first opened to the general public with more announcements of park expansions, new movies, and new interactive games.
This year Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios presented sneak peeks at The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, Zootopia, Moana, and Toy Story 4. Marvel Studios presented footage from Captain America: Civil War and set pictures from Doctor Strange, Lucasfilm shared more info and stars for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Walt Disney Pictures presented Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Pete's Dragon, The Finest Hours, and The Queen of Katwe. Disney Interactive showed off their new video games: Star Wars: Battlefront, Disney Infinity 3.0, and Kingdom Hearts III.
Fans were buzzing about the park expansion announcement for a new Star Wars themed land for Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

At 4:19AM on July 11, 2019 the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1220 S Wall St in Downtown Los Angeles. Firefighters arrived to find a 50’ x 100’ row of commercial units with heavy smoke showing. Immediately, crews initiated simultaneous operations with truck companies going to the roof, firefighters working on forcible entry to gain access and hand lines being prepared for interior fire attack.
The 6,900 square foot building, built in 1924, is deep and presented challenges reaching the fire. After approximately 20 minutes of working to locate the seat of the fire while it continued to rage, the conditions were too precarious for the offensive operation to continue. Incident Commander, Battalion Chief Michael Castillo, declared the transition to a defensive operation and all firefighters withdrew both from the interior and the roof.
Crews quickly put multiple master streams in action, setting up ladder pipes and large diameter hand lines on the ground and the roofs of adjoined buildings. Their dedicated efforts in defending the two attached buildings on either side of the fire unit paid off and prevented any extension into those structures.
102 firefighters achieved full extinguishment of the fire in one hour and 49 minutes with no injuries reported. The three units in the main building suffered varying levels of damage with the central unit being most heavily affected. LAFD Arson and Counter-Terrorism Section responded per protocol for a Greater Alarm fire and the cause investigation is on-going

On February 16 and 17, The Queen Mary celebrates its 20th anniversary of gathering traditional Scottish activities into a weekend of authentic highland fun. Activities such as the caber toss abound, while sheepherding, whiskey tastings, and genuine Scottish clans creating a grand parade enhance the atmosphere. ESPN’s Baseball Tonight will broadcast live from the green carpet with host Karl Ravech, ESPN analyst and Baseball Hall of Famer Barry Larkin and ESPN MLB Insider Tim Kurkjian and the final nine contestants competed for a chance to win $1 million in the Million Dollar Arm Pitching Contest. About Creed
From Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema comes award-winning filmmaker Ryan Coogler’s “Creed.” The film explores a new chapter in the “Rocky” story and stars Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone in his iconic role. The film also reunites Coogler with his “Fruitvale Station” star Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed. Adonis Johnson (Jordan) never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. Still, there’s no denying that boxing is in his blood, so Adonis heads to Philadelphia, the site of Apollo Creed’s legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa. At 8:03PM on October 30, 2020 the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 917 S San Julian Street in Downtown LA. The first arriving fire companies saw heavy smoke coming from the back of a commercial building. They located an outside fire and worked to quickly extinguish it. Despite their efforts, the fire had already extended into the adjacent one story commercial building.
Firefighters forced entry into the 10,832 square foot building (housing three businesses) and initiated an interior fire attack. They continued to work their way into the building while visibility dropped, yet the seat of the fire remained out of reach. Truck companies, on the roof of the building, conducted vertical ventilation, resulting in both fire and pressurized smoke emanating from the holes. It was determined the fire was above the interior crews, likely on a mezzanine which was inaccessible to them. The deteriorating conditions created an untenable position and the incident commander, Assistant Chief Dean Zipperman, made the decision to transition to a defensive operation.
With all firefighters out of the building and off the roof, company officers conducted an accountability report to ensure all were safe and present while preparing for master streams. Over the next 90 minutes, crews applied copious amounts of water from ladder pipes and large diameter hand lines to drown out the blaze. Pockets of fire remained out of reach due to the style of construction and once the conditions improved enough, firefighters returned to an offensive mode. An official ‘knockdown’ was declared two hours and nine minutes into the incident. Firefighters defended a second building, exposed to the fire, from any damage.
One firefighter was transported with a heat-related illness and returned to full duty a short while later. LAFD Arson and Counter-Terrorism Section (ACTS) responded and are actively investigating the cause of the fire, following protocol for an incident of this size.
