About Creed
From Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema comes award-winning filmmaker Ryan Coogler’s “Creed.” The film explores a new chapter in the “Rocky” story and stars Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone in his iconic role. The film also reunites Coogler with his “Fruitvale Station” star Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed. Adonis Johnson (Jordan) never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. Still, there’s no denying that boxing is in his blood, so Adonis heads to Philadelphia, the site of Apollo Creed’s legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa. Agreeing to take him on, Rocky trains the young fighter, even as the former champ is battling an opponent more deadly than any he faced in the ring. Once in the City of Brotherly Love, Adonis tracks Rocky (Stallone) down and asks him to be his trainer.
“Creed” also stars Tessa Thompson (“Selma,” “Dear White People”) as Bianca, a local singer-songwriter who becomes involved with Adonis; Phylicia Rashad (Lifetime’s “Steel Magnolias”) as Mary Anne Creed, Apollo’s widow; and English pro boxer and former three-time ABA Heavyweight Champion Anthony Bellew as boxing champ “Pretty” Ricky Conlan.

Hey. It's me...McKenzie. You'll never guess what happened. I was sitting there, bored as ever, with Drew and Heather when all of a sudden....Henry's dad came and took me (and some food) away! We got in the car and guess who was there. Right! Henry. I got to ride in the front seat (note: she didn't "get" to ride in the front seat...that's where she ended up after attempting to sit in my lap) and we went....you guessed it again....TO THE RIVER! We had a blast! We saw people and dogs and sand and water and birds and even a coyote. Then we went to Henry's house for dinner and belly rubs....what else is there? Can't wait to see what's next.

Clowns invaded LA on Tues 1/19 to promote “Baskets”on FX! They were seen in Santa Monica at 3rd Street Promenade, West LA/Westwood at Westwood Village, West Hollywood at Santa Monica & Crescent Heights, Silverlake at Sunset & Griffith Park and Downtown at Pershing Square. There were a total of 30 clowns resembling Zach’s character making appearances and wordlessly going about their daily routines from getting coffee, working out, grocery shopping, waiting for the bus, reading newspapers, eating lunch, etc. Some of the clowns were in full costume, others just in clown make-up with street clothes. The clowns were also giving out prizes including giant lollipops, t-shirts and umbrellas.

An old book from my collection, printed in 1946 it collects broadcasts from a number of BBC war correspondents from the monumental acts of D-Day when the Allies fought their way ashore into occupied France to the fall of the Nazis and the liberation of Europe. Its old and battered, but I wouldn't part with it - I have plenty of history books but few like this created right after the events described within it, all first hand accounts.
Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host Rachel Greninger were invited to come out again to cover the 66th Annual ACE Eddie Awards recognizing outstanding editing in 10 categories of film, TV and documentaries at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
Honorees
Nancy Meyers was honored with the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year while Carol Littleton and Ted Rich received Career Achievement awards.
Ceremony Highlights
The host of this year’s ACE Eddie Awards is actor/comedian Adam DeVine (Pitch Perfect, Pitch Perfect 2, Comedy Central’s “Workaholics” and Nancy Meyers' "The Intern").
