The rainy season is upon us. Our usual bright sunshine "faz falta".

These two are pretty good. Don't eat or need heat, shots, licenses, tags and don't use litter. Don't claw furniture. They don't play either. But they fill a void for now.

The little calico came from a lady named Jane Boyle from Princeton Telecommunications in NJ and neither of us remembers where the orange ceramic tabby came from but he has piercing green eyes.

Two from Brentor church which sits on top of a tor on the edge of Dartmoor; the views are amazing. The benches had seen better days and both had the same sign attached to them.

These benches are a necessity after a hard climb up to the church.

HBM!

The first power from the start up that WC tried to replace was the 17 ex Soo GP30's. The 1948 Alco FA trucks they rode on were a pain and the group had never been rebuilt and there was some concern about "crispy" wiring in the electrical cabinets. Only three of the group received the full WC paint scheme which was a shame because they looked damn good in it. 713 leads one of its would be replacements on an X35 at Gould City. Most of these units were retired as the GP40's came on board but due to a nearly chronic power shortage a number of them were soon back in service. Five of them managed to stay in service until 2000 and IIRC three actually operated for a few weeks after the CN take over. 713 was one of the last to go. This was shot in December 1990 and at the time I'd already made peace with the fact I wasn't going to have many more GP30 opportunities...wrong again😊. It is Thirty Thursday, a rescan.

I have passed this corner ever since I moved into the neighborhood and there was an old bench there which I also have posted... But when I went to the store the other day there was a new one there.. So glad because I didn't think that old bench would even hold a grown up anymore... Happy Bench Monday, Everybody!!!!

SM48-127 with D-train 22509 "Solina" from Warszawa Zachodnia to Bełżec, approaching Szczebrzeszyn. July 15, 2007.

If you follow this gallery for longer time, you have probably noticed, it's the third picture of this train. It was so unusual for me and my friend, that we had been following this train for couple of miles.

SM48-127 z pociągiem pospiesznym 22509 "Solina" z Warszawy Zachodniej do Bełżca, tuż przed Szczebrzeszynem. 15 lipca 2007 roku.

Nie jest to pierwszy obrazek tego pociągu. Kto zagląda od dawna, skojarzy dwa inne. Goniliśmy z kolegą ten pociąg, wszak taki koń przy takim składzie nie zdarza się często.

Enthusiasts will no doubt love this, and why not.

Punters, would rather have the class 380 train id imagine.

AFAIK, however it remained as a standby all day.

The majority of nectar plants were battered and destroyed in the last hurricane and since the entire purpose of the garden is to provide hospitality and food for wildlife I began ordering and searching for replacement plants. Interestingly native plants regenerated rapidly which was a relief and this weekend the morning light was so lovely I gathered the potted replacements with the natives and this is what I saw.

Happy Monday!

God bless America

So I had another idea. One take. Lots of practice shots. One misfire - camera didn't trigger, but luckily the bulb didn't break!

VP549 left Metroline in the history books as one of the last two remaining VPs in service at Willesden Garage alongside VP534. The pair was withdrawn from service on Friday 13th December 2019. Post Metroline 534’s life was short lived after an RTC lead to it catching fire. VP549 thankfully has a better story and lives on with Bear Buses. No prizes for guessing what its working/where but just in case, its pictured arriving at Hounslow Station whilst covering South Western Railway Rail Replacement.

Caught a rock with my windshield and it had cracked from top to bottom, and side to side. It was cheaper to pay out of pocket than have my insurance rate go up.

Macro Mondays - Eraser

I have been holding on to this pile of replacement erasers for mechanical pencils for ages, never knowing if they would be used. Today I used them for the Macro Monday theme. I never would have guessed....

The replacement's As many of you have seen, the fall of the searchlights continue, although the CPR is using quite a mixture of three lens or a lone multi coloured lens, they're still darth vader like. But for now these searchlights continue to live out their final days before they too fall victim to the ubiquitous safetran signals.

Playing around with the Luminar 4.2 update. The sky replacement options are limited and doing this to any extent would require creating my own portfolio of skies. Guess I could do it. Probably have a lot in my library. Not necessarily too motivated as this is just a fun thing to do. Very rarely at this point.

I first tried to do this with a color version, but the sky replacements all made the color of the plane change, too. So, did a conversion first then applied the sky.
