Scrooge weeps over his own grave, begging the spirit for a chance to change his ways, before awakening to find it is Christmas morning. He immediately repents and becomes a model of generosity and kindness: he visits Fred and accepts his earlier invitation to Christmas dinner, gives Bob Cratchit a raise, and becomes like "a second father" to Tiny Tim. As the final narration states, "Some people laughed to see the alteration in him, but he let them laugh, and little heeded them; for he was wise enough to know that nothing ever happened on this globe, for good, at which some people did not have their fill of laughter in the outset; and knowing that such as these would be blind anyway, he thought it quite as well that they should wrinkle up their eyes in grins, as have the malady in less attractive forms. His own heart laughed: and that was quite enough for him...it was always said of him that he knew how to keep Christmas well if any man alive possessed the knowledge."

The Galilee Porch at the Grade I listed Lincoln Cathedral, in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

A galilee is a chapel or porch at the west end of some churches where penitent, those being repentance of sins, waited before admission to the body of the church and where clergy received women who had business with them. Aside from Lincoln remaining galilee also exist in Durham & Ely Cathedrals.

"Lord Jesus, let your light dispel the darkness that what is lost may be found and restored. Let your light shine through me that others may see your truth and love and find hope and peace in you. May I never doubt your love nor take for granted the mercy you have shown to me. Fill me with your transforming love that I may be merciful as you are merciful."

The Life of Saint Julian the Hospitaller window—located in Bay 21 of the ambulatory in Chartres Cathedral—was created around 1215–1225, during the high point of Gothic stained-glass artistry. It forms part of the cathedral’s remarkable ensemble of narrative windows and is one of the few in the ambulatory to depict the life of a lesser-known saint. The window was commissioned by the corporation of wheelwrights (charrons), whose emblem appears in the base medallion, reflecting the common practice at Chartres of trade guilds sponsoring specific windows as acts of piety and civic participation.

The window portrays the life of Saint Julian the Hospitaller, a nobleman who, after accidentally killing his parents, undertakes a life of penitence and self-sacrificial hospitality. He and his wife ultimately run a hospice for travelers, culminating in a mystical episode in which Julian unknowingly shelters Christ in the form of a leper and receives divine forgiveness.

The window has undergone major restoration efforts, most significantly in the 19th century under the direction of architect Jean-Baptiste Lassus and later in the 20th and 21st centuries as part of broader preservation campaigns led by the Centre International du Vitrail and the French Ministry of Culture. These restorations included cleaning, structural reinforcement, and re-leading to stabilize the glass and revive its vivid medieval colors. Today, Bay 21 stands as both an artistic treasure and a testament to the medieval ideals of repentance, charity, and divine grace.

Gustave Flaubert’s short story La Légende de Saint Julien l’Hospitalier (1877) was directly inspired by a stained-glass window he saw in his youth—not at Chartres, but at Rouen Cathedral, specifically Bay 23 in the north ambulatory. While both Chartres (Bay 21) and Rouen depict the legend of Saint Julian, the Rouen window aligns more closely with Flaubert’s vivid and dramatic retelling, including scenes of exotic travels, inner torment, demonic temptations, and a mystical vision of Christ. Unlike the more schematic and symbolic Chartres version, Rouen’s narrative sequence captures the emotional arc and spiritual transformation that Flaubert elaborates in prose. Scholars and Flaubert himself have confirmed Rouen, not Chartres, as the true visual source for his literary interpretation.

Nigatsu-dō (二月堂, "The Hall of the Second Month") is one of the important structures of Tōdai-ji, a temple in Nara, Japan. Nigatsu-dō is located to the east of the Great Buddha Hall, on the hillside of Mount Wakakusa. It includes several other buildings in addition to the specific hall named Nigatsu-dō, thus comprising its own sub-complex within Tōdai-ji.

Nigatsu-dō was founded by a monk by the name of Sanetada in 752, but the Buddhist monk Jitchu, a pupil of Rōben, later introduced a repentance service dedicated to the image of the eleven-faced Bodhisattva, Kannon in 760. It has taken place as an annual rite since 760 without any break. The service has come to be known as Shuni-e (修二会, lit. Second-Month Service), as it was held in the second month of the traditional lunisolar calendar. At present, it starts on 1 March and ends on the 15th of the month. Omizutori, which means taking sacred water, has become the popular name of the ceremony.

While the first Shuni-e service is said to have been held by Jichu in another temple in 752, the original construction of Nigatsu-dō hall is estimated to have completed only somewhere between 756 and 772. Nigatsu-dō was destroyed in 1667 due to a fire.

1667 (Kanbun 7): After fire destroyed the main temple structure, work on rebuilding Nigatsu-dō (二月堂) at Nara commenced.

Re-construction of Nigatsu-do is completed in 1669. In 1944, it was chosen by Japan as one of the most important cultural aspects of the country.

Although the hall was saved from civil wars in 1180 and 1567 in which the Great Buddha Hall was lost, it was burnt down during the Shuni-e service of 1667. The hall was rebuilt two years later.

The current main hall of Nigatsu-dō is a designated National Treasure. The hall holds two Kannons, a large one and a small one, although both of them are classified as Hibutsu (秘仏) – "secret Buddhas" – and therefore are not publicly shown.

Acts 2:38

Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Only the emperor could enter the majestic basilica of Hagia Sophia through the entrance known as the Imperial Door. The mosaic that sits above the door dates to around the turn of the 10th century. It shows the Byzantine emperor Leo VI bowing before Christ who is seated on a jeweled throne. Some have suggested it is an allusion to the occasion when Leo was denied entrance into the basilica because of his irregular marriages and was compelled to do public penance.

Christ holds a book which reads in Greek: "Peace be with you. I am the Light of the World." In the medallions on each side of Christ are the Virgin Mary and the Archangel Gabriel. Restoration work was carried out on the mosaic in the 1930s and 1959-1960.

Many themes emerge from the mosaic: the repentance of the sinner and the forgiveness of Christ; the majesty of Christ as Lord of all and the power bestowed upon the emperor by Christ; Christ as light of the world.

► █░▓ The Great Blessing of Water is held as the forefeast of the Theophany (January 5, i.e. 18) - in this case in the local church of Žabljak, SOC. The days-long rain turned later into snow which was followed by thundering all day long - something extremely rare for this time of year and these conditions (elevation well above 1400 m, midwinter). This was the most graceful and moving Great Blessing I have ever attended. "The flock" was small, but well chosen... I can hardly express it.

The use of holy water is based on the story of Jesus' baptism by Saint John the Baptist in the River Jordan and the Orthodox interpretation of this event. In this view, John's baptism was a baptism of repentance, and the people came to have their sins washed away by the water. Since Jesus had no sin, but was and is God himself, His baptism had the effect of Jesus blessing the water, making it holy, that is used fully for its original created purpose – to be an instrument of life.

After photographing the bridge at Hoddom I headed up the hill to "Repentance Tower" which commands some great 360 degrees views from the top.

Standing on Trailtrow Hill, Repentance Tower formed part of a chain of defense posts which warned against English raiding parties who crossed the border.

This three-storey tower house was founded by Sir John Maxwell of Terregles in the mid 16th century.

In 1548 an English force challenged the Douglases at Durisdeer, who were under the charge of Sir John. The night before the battle, he had been bribed to change sides in exchange for the hand of Agnes Herries and the title Lord Herries. His treachery, however, cost the lives of 12 of his kinsmen, who had been held at Carlisle Castle as hostages, one of which was his 12-year-old nephew. Maxwell was said to have built the tower as a sign of his remorse.

Another version of the tale has it that Repentance Tower was so-called because Lord Herries built Hoddom Castle out of stones from Trailtrow Chapel.

There is a river where goodness flows

There is a fountain that drowns sorrows

There is an ocean deeper than fear

The tide is rising, rising

There is a current stirring deep inside

It's overflowing from the heart of God

The flood of heaven crashing over us

The tide is rising, rising

Bursting, bursting

Up from the ground

We feel it now

Bursting, bursting

Up from the ground

We feel it now

We come alive in the river

We come alive in the river

We come alive in the river

According to the Bible, God has wonderful things prepared for us in Heaven.

But here's the question.... have we prepared ourselves to go there?

The Bible clearly states that if we have never asked God for forgiveness and have never recognized or acknowledged that His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, died on the cross for our sins, then we are not fit for Heaven.

Repenting of one's sins, is to not only be remorseful of them, but to make an about turn from them. Of course, no-one is perfect and and no-one is sinless, but we must strive to live by Jesus Christ's example. It's not easy, there are obstacles every day, and that's why we must talk to God... every day.

Prepare to meet thy God!

Prelude

I write this so I can remember.

I’ve been chasing freedom my whole life.

It started when I was just a child. My mother called me a product of sin, I was placed in her body by another man and she did not want me. She could not rid of me, because that would be murder, and her hands too would no longer be clean. “There is no repentance for the murder of the unborn, Peninnah.”

In the bible, Peninnah was mentioned only briefly, one of two wives of Elkanah. Hannah was his second wife, and he loved her more. Peninnah was kept around for her sole purpose of being able to produce children, because Hannah was barren. But in turn of her lack of love, Peninnah often lashed out, from jealousy and spite.

I believe my mother picked this name with a purpose, and it has set the stage for my whole life. It’s just that I’ve set out to give Peninnah more than just a mention in the book. In scripture, it’s mentioned we cannot condone Peninnah’s actions, but we can understand them. This was not the case for me.

Since the day I was born, my mother hated me. I’ve never met my father, but I’ve been told that I have his eyes. That was what my mother’s husband told me the night he blinded mine, too. Less of him that she has to look at, he figured.

I was six years old. By this time, Ivah was born and she was favored. She was a wanted child, conceived out of love and passion, not the wretched product of a rape in a dark alleyway, a night in Detroit that no one wanted to talk about or remember, but had to every time they looked at me.

I was just a girl. I knew no better, and like Ivah I wanted to be loved and cared for. I tried my best to behave. We were not allowed the television, and I busied myself with books of all kinds. As long as I was reading, I was being good. My parents allowed me to read the bible primarily, and by the time I was eight, I had the entire book of Psalms memorized to the point that I could recite it verbatim. It was my favorite, and though I can’t remember it word-for-word to this day, I carry it with me often and have modeled most of my life and morals around how I interpreted it, though it’s changed over the years.

I also enjoyed reading books about flowers. Mother had a garden, and though it wasn’t something I’ve ever done hands on, I can tell you by memory how to prune a rose bush, or that poppy flowers bloom from June to October, and that the titan arum is the world's largest.

My mother also had poetry books, she enjoyed the classics like e.e cummings and Emily Dickinson (the soul has bandaged moments is my favorite). When I was about ten, I started writing poetry, but my vocabulary was too small, so I started reading the thesaurus, too. As long as I was reading, that meant I was causing no harm to my family, and they would leave me locked in my room, just how I wanted them to do.

But there were times that I wanted love. I wanted my mother to hug me and tell me that she loved me, and I would ask her to. At times, I could tell that she wanted to as well, but there must have been a voice in the back of her mind arguing with her. Her shoulders would shake, and sometimes she would squeeze me too tightly, like she was physically restraining herself from hurting me.

I remember staring into her eyes, they were seafoam green, but they always looked glassy when she looked back, sometimes tears would roll down her cheeks, and other times she was not strong enough, and she would strike me.

My eyes.. pale blue like my father’s. Ivah’s eyes were pale blue too, but when I pointed this out, mother said it was different.

But I’m jumping too far ahead, because I have never told anyone what has happened to my eye. I don’t think I will forget, no matter how bad my memories seem to get. I can remember it vividly, the man that was supposed to act as my father dumping gasoline in to it. He said I should be ugly on the outside, just like within.

I look at my baby now, and I wonder how someone could do such a thing. My limbs were so small, I couldn’t possibly understand. I wonder if he felt powerful as I kicked and screamed beneath him while he pinned me down, one hand over my mouth while he marked me. I remember the way it burned, and the way my sight of him blurred. The thing about being blind - it’s not a world of black, at least not for everyone. I was able to see for a while, just not good. I could see colors, and fragments of light, but as the years passed and the condition of my eye deteriorated, they had to remove it.

My birthday falls on Halloween. As a child, it was not to be celebrated, though Ivah was often given small parties. My date was different because my parents often spent it protesting, just like they did with so many other things. If I had to compare them to something extremist in modern society, I’d say the Westboro Baptists that I often see on the news or on social media now. They found atrocities in the simple enjoyments of life, but were most commonly found protesting women's health clinics, like Planned Parenthood.

There was one particular protest that changed the curve of my life forever, despite never being involved in them. One of the women went to get an abortion, she had made the decision for herself because of the mental illness she was suffering from. Her name was Joyce Day. She felt that she would not be a good mother, at least that was what the newspapers said, when they interviewed her later on. Because of my parents outspoken beliefs, after they yelled terrible things at her and held signs in her face, she had the procedure done with anguish.

But three weeks later, she was at our door, their identities were known, being outspoken in the church, and she simply used a phonebook. When my parents answered, she shot them both dead. The doctor said it was a period of psychosis, and she was sent to a facility. Ivah and I, in turn, after witnessing the death of our parents, were sent to foster care. I was twelve years old.

This was the first time I believed I experienced freedom, but it was only the beginning of another period of confinement. I’ll save that for another time.

The Winter Garment of Repentance fling:

The Bird of Time has but a little way

To fly--and Lo! the Bird is on the Wing."

The Carnival of Brazil (Portuguese: Carnaval, IPA: [kaʁnaˈvaw]) is an annual festival held during the Friday to the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent, the forty-day period before Easter. On certain days of Lent, Roman Catholics and some other Christians traditionally abstained from the consumption of meat and poultry, hence the term "carnival," from carnelevare, "to remove (literally, "raise") meat." Carnival has roots in the pagan festival of Saturnalia, which, adapted to Catholicism became a farewell to well things in a season of religious discipline to practice repentance and prepare for Christ's death and resurrection. Rhythm, participation, and costumes vary from one region of Brazil to another. In the southeastern cities of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Vitória, huge organized parades are led by samba schools. Those official parades are meant to be watched by the public, while minor parades ("blocos") allowing public participation can be found in other cities. The northeastern cities of Recife, Olinda, Salvador and Porto Seguro have organized groups parading through streets, and public interacts directly with them. This carnival is also influenced by African-Brazilian culture. It's a six-day party where crowds follow the trios elétricos through the city streets, dancing and singing. Also in northeast, Olinda carnival features unique characteristics, heavily influenced by local folklore and cultural manifestations, such as Frevo and Maracatu.

Last weekend we made a trip down to the Pudu Prison in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The 115 year old prison is to be demolished to make way for an urban redevelopment project. This is an attempt to document the untold stories behind the walls that have imprisoned the notorious criminals including the infamous Botak Chin.

Seeing the insides of the famous prison, I could feel a vast array of emotions. The atmosphere within these walls breathes trails of regrets, repentance, anger, sadness, loneliness, love etc.

May the lost souls of Pudu Prison rest in peace. Al Fatihah.

The Scarlet Letter: A Romance is a work of historical fiction by American author Nathaniel Hawthorne, published in 1850. Set in Puritan Massachusetts Bay Colony during the years 1642 to 1649, the novel tells the story of Hester Prynne, who conceives a daughter through an affair and then struggles to create a new life of repentance and dignity.

Fourth and Last Act - The Repentance

Roberta cut her hair and become a nun becouse she deeply repented of her previous evil deeds.

Today's Word: Pentimento, Repentance, 後悔

The Morale: If you refuse an Italian pretender and you get knifed, it's your fault and you have to repent.

"The word of the Lord was addressed a second time to Jonah: ‘Up!’ he said ‘Go to Nineveh, the great city, and preach to them as I told you to.’ Jonah set out and went to Nineveh in obedience to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was a city great beyond compare: it took three days to cross it. Jonah went on into the city, making a day’s journey. He preached in these words, ‘Only forty days more and Nineveh is going to be destroyed.’ And the people of Nineveh believed in God; they proclaimed a fast and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least. The news reached the king of Nineveh, who rose from his throne, took off his robe, put on sackcloth and sat down in ashes. A proclamation was then promulgated throughout Nineveh, by decree of the king and his ministers, as follows: ‘Men and beasts, herds and flocks, are to taste nothing; they must not eat, they must not drink water. All are to put on sackcloth and call on God with all their might; and let everyone renounce his evil behaviour and the wicked things he has done. Who knows if God will not change his mind and relent, if he will not renounce his burning wrath, so that we do not perish?’ God saw their efforts to renounce their evil behaviour, and God relented: he did not inflict on them the disaster which he had threatened."

– Jonah 3:1-10.

During our stay in Nara, Japan, we toured the Todaiji shrine complex. It is there that this photograph was taken. From wikipedia I quote:

Saint Dionysius church, of Zakynthos...

"The Saint of Forgiveness"

A man came to St. Dionysius's cell and begged the saint to hide him from his pursuers. When St. Dionysius asked him why he was being pursued, the man told him that he had killed a man. The murderer did not know that he had killed the saint's own beloved brother Constantine. St. Dionysius was very grieved but hid the man and did not surrender him to the law. Instead he instructed him and brought him to repentance. According to local tradition, the murderer later repented and became a monk himself at that same monastery.

St. Dionysius is an example to us all for his forgiveness of even the most grievous sins against us.

The Cathedral of Saint Dionysios.

Zakinthos Island.

This church, the biggest in the city, is dedicated to the protector of the island and it is located along the seashore of Zakynthos.

It was built in 1948 and it resisted the earthquake in 1953, now its bell tower is very high and stands out among the different buildings recognizable as soon as you enter the port.

Even if it hasn’t got any particular exterior characteristics, when entering you are impressed by the quantity of frescos, lamp holders and colours.

Among the artists that contributed to the magnificence of this church there are the painter Doxaras and the chaser Bafas who engraved the silver reliquary in where there are the mortal remains of Saint Dionysios.

The bell tower, being surrounded by numerous bulbs, during the night it is enlightened creating a lovely view.

Today´s Soundtrack: Angra - Bleeding Heart

Now I know that the end comes

You knew since the beginning

Didn't want to believe it's true

You are alone again, my soul will be with you

Why is the clock even running

If my world isn't turning?

Hear your voice in the doorway wind

You are alone again I'm only waiting

You tear into pieces my heart

Before you leave with no repentance

I cried to you, my tears turning into blood

I'm ready to surrender

You say that I take it too hard

And all I ask is comprehension

Bring back to you a piece of my broken heart

I'm ready to surrender

I remember the moments

Life was short for the romance

Like a rose it will fade away

I'm leaving everything

No regrets, war is over

The return of a soldier

Put my hands on my bleeding heart

I'm leaving all behind

No longer waiting

You tear into pieces my heart

Before you leave with no repentance

I cried to you, my tears turning into blood

I'm ready to surrender

You say that I take it too hard

And all I ask is comprehension

Bring back to you a piece of my broken heart

I'm ready to surrender

I've waited for so long!

You tear into pieces my heart

Before you leave with no repentance

I cried to you, my tears turning into blood

I'm ready to surrender

You say that I take it too hard

And all I ask is comprehension

Bring back to you a piece of my broken heart

I'm ready to surrender

I'm ready to surrender...

Excelente Quinta !

Climbing up mount Reinenbringen at night is quite an experience, one of those things that should not be done, and even less going up alone. After some doubts in the previous days, the last day of the trip came and.... the most sure repentance won the battle to prudence :)

A composite photograph of 282 shots of the south-southeasternmost part of the cloudy sky above Meteora, Greece, at the Lyrid meteor shower’s peak, on April 22, 2021. A bright fireball was luckily captured, too (top, left). The Milky Way is seen above the Varlaam monastery (abbey) and so is the bright star Antares (aka “α Sco,” alpha Scorpii, LABELED) along with the Constellation Scorpio, too (marked by yellow lines).

As Earth rotated on its axis, the entire cosmos seemed to swirl around a foreground of the lofty rocks formed sixty million years ago (timelapse video available, too). The Meteora rock formations are geologically unique and listed in UNESCO world heritage sites; they are imbued with a sense of Eternity. On the contrary, falling stars represent an Ephemeral element, such as sinful Fall prior to Repentance; they remind us of the bible’s verse:

“…stars shall fall from heaven…”

—Matthew, 24, 29

The meteor shower’s peak averages around 18 meteors/hour. The source of the meteor shower are particles of dust shed by the long-period Comet C/1861 G1 Thatcher. It was in 687 BC that this meteor shower was historically recorded for the first time by Chinese sky gazers . The Lyrids meteors fly at the velocity of 30mph (49 km/hr) and can produce fireballs. Their radiant point is located in the constellation Lyra.

Thanksgiving is always a special time of year for Audrey. As leader of the Ladies Bible Study* and song leader,** Audrey reflects on the blessings of God and updates her journal.

Journal Entry November 19

"Today I was at Pastor Calvin's home again. Such a delightful, happy, warm place. How many times have we sat in His den as He taught us from Scripture and answered our many, many questions.

When I think that the fruit of the Spirit is love, I think of Pastor Calvin. He opens his home to us and to anyone who would stop in. He loves his brothers and sisters in Christ, and he loves those who do not know the Savior.

I thank God for His unique love. " But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)" It is with God's own love that He is able to love us in spite of our sin. And, in salvation He shares that great love with us so that we may return it to Him, and extend it to others. As our Lord Jesus said, "37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’"

Pastor Calvin constantly reaches out with this love of God. He loves us as our pastor and he always proclaims the Gospel imperative of repentance and belief to the lost with such gentleness and respect.

For God's love in salvation I give thanks today."

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

Condemnation

Tried

Here on the stand

With the book in my hand

And truth on my side

Accusations

Lies

Hand me my sentence

I’ll show no repentance

I’ll suffer with pride

If for honesty

You want apologies

I don’t sympathize

If for kindness

You substitute blindness

Please open your eyes

Condemnation

Why

Because my duty

Was always to beauty

And that was my crime

Feel elation

High

To know I can trust this

Fix of injustice

Time after time

If you see purity

As immaturity

Well it’s no surprise

If for kindness

You substitute blindness

Please open your eyes

No postprocessing, just a bit levels adjustment.

I remember driving to church that Sunday, September 16, 2001. My church, at the time, was 24 miles from my front door... that drive took me through part of Durham, onto I-85, and into the countryside through to Cedar Grove. I passed many other churches along the way... one thing they had in common this day was that each church appeared to be experiencing an overflow condition known as SRO... Standing Room Only. Americans were responding to events of the previous week, now known as 9/11. They were looking for answers.

I know without doubt that some of those churches had little to no answer to 9-11, other than to make poor attempts to sooth and console those in attendance. I know because that also occurred at my church. In the ensuing weeks, those SRO numbers tapered back to 'normal' conditions... the crowds obviously didn't find the answer they were hoping for. With their 'repentance' taken care of, they might return at Christmas, or Easter... or not.

The 2nd chapter of Revelation opens with a description of the Church of Ephesus, a church not unlike many others, even today, busy about the things that Christians do, which is a good thing, right? Jesus took issue with that in verse 4: "Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first." Just exactly who is that first love? Why does it matter? There's a whole lot to be said for that statement, especially concerning the condition of this world 17 years after 9/11... it also means the answer so many were looking for then is the same as it is now. If folks understood the depth of that answer, Sundays would still see SRO conditions at every church.

On September 11, 2001, 19 Islamic terrorists gave their lives in Jihad as they turned four large commercial aircraft into guided missiles. 2977 innocent people became victims that day in their unholy war... to have the world bow to their vision of what is just before their god. Around 33 AD, another man gave His life so that all may be justified through Him and live. There's an answer in there somewhere.

John 3:12 - When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

This is the 1000-watt light shining through the restored Fresnel lens of the Bodie Island Lighthouse on North Carolina's Outer banks... historically, its light has reached out over the Atlantic as a navigational aid, and has saved lives, which seems more than analogous to Jesus' statement concerning Himself. It's just beginning to rain as this shot was made, just the dynamic conditions that made this light necessary.

The Twenty-Fifth Ion Prophecy - Middle East Shadows by Daniel Arrhakis (2019)

The Twenty-Fifth Ion Prophecy - Middle East Shadows

And shadows will travel across the Tigris and Euphrates of ancient Mesopotamia, the Dead Sea and the Golan Heights, the Shirkooh Mountains and the Alam Kuh Heights, the Desert Dunes and the Arabian Kingdom Wadis.

And the old spirits of the Desert, will travel again the lands of the Middle East and will spread again the doubt, the illusion and the chaos with sandstorms, hatred prayers and aimless armies.

Do not blame the ancient spirits of the legends, nor the Iblīs, nor the ancient Djinns, nor the Ghouls, for it will be the men who in their immense stupidity will again summon Anghra Mainyu and the dark storms that will cover the skies and the Earth for years in a conflict without truce until Spenta Mainyu again illuminates the spirits of men and forgiveness, repentance, kindness and concordia reign in the sands of time, in the holy cities of Islam and in the salty seas of Israel and the Cisjordan .

By the look of it, Malapascua Island in this picture , a low lying small island off the

northern tip of Cebu will be on the path in collision with the disastrous super

typhoon Haiyan or known as Yolanda by Philippine typhoon name.

I pray for those people even those I don't know, who are living on the path of disaster

of the typhoon land fall , may God will give them a divine escape route and hedge

of protection for those who call upon Him with true repentance at

heart - leave their idols !

Truth can truly hurt. I do apologize if this sound offensive to some, I do wish

never to hurt or offend , but I am speaking based on Biblical truth .

The Bible said if we don't speak what we knew or be able to warn

the people ( I believe this includes online ), when God take

their lives away left not warned , and it caused them to

to be eternally damned, God will claim their blood from

our hands --- woooooo are you prepared for that ? That's scary to

fall in front of God empty handed and accountable of the great loose of

many to eternity of damnation . God will judge !

As I follow Biblical truth I have no choice but to speak . It's truly a hard

bargain , but I have no other way but to be obedient by the word of God.

This is not to criticize in a negative way, but as a positive rebuke

and encouragement to discover and know God , have personal

relationship with Him through His son Jesus Christ , knowing God

for who He is and for His glory , not through traditions of men.

All of us will face God one day and answer our deeds whether

you like it or not.

In my understanding, this is the main spiritual issue of the Filipinos ,

although majority classify themselves as christians

being born in a Christian family, baptized as a baby

in a Christian church , attend Sunday service -but how many do

really worship God in the spirit in truth and

are born-again by the Spirit God ?

I said this because I once was .

I know many wouldn't like me saying this, I probably be hated by a number

from this time on but I'm speaking by conviction of the Lord

through this tiny window of flickr .

Many Filipinos do worship idols and are hard core and follow unbiblical

rituals which God hates. Though many may have known the truth

but they insist into their allegiance to religious traditions they

were accustomed to , which mostly are long man-made traditions.

Many do take pride and follow them mainly because of ignorance

of the true word of God.

Hosea 4:6

"My people perished because of lack of knowledge "

It's not about worldly knowledge from your college, but mainly of the

commandments of God.

This is the time of gradual purging from God !

This is the time of true repentance and acknowledging the one and

only God and His sanctity should never be mocked and mixed up

by false religious practices which are true abominations against God !

God's should never be represented by graven images and pictures to

be worshiped /hanged on walls , or on a grotto kissed and adored !

Where majority mixed up paganism practices and the occult

together merged into Christianity. We can't mixed them up .

We can't serve two masters ! Either you are of God or just very deceived

by darkness. There's no middle ground .

We each do our part, we’re devoted to God.

We stand firm in testimony to fulfill God’s will.

God’s words encourage us, we push ever forward.

Side by side, hand in hand we bear witness for God, we give ourselves to Him body and mind.

No matter how great our suffering, we are more than willing.

With God’s words’ guidance, we triumph over Satan.

We truly love God, we’ll never regret it.

We’ve fully forsaken the great red dragon, we’re victorious soldiers.

We sing aloud our praises for God, we dance and we dance.

We praise our new life in the kingdom, our hearts are truly happy.

It’s God who’s saved us, we’ve become God’s people.

Being raised before God’s throne is enjoyment without compare.

This further closer shot shows the knave of Inch Abbey which is a large ruined 12th and 13th Century ruined Cistercian Abbey near Downpatrick County Down Northern Ireland standing on the Northern Bank of the River Quoile. The site was originally on an island in the Quoile Marshes.

It is best accessed by using the Downpatrick and County Railway's nearby station which is a short walk away and is well worth a visit too.

On the Game of Thrones theme - Robb Stark camped here in Season One of Game of Thrones.

The Abbey was founded in 1180 by the Norman Knight John de Courcy who led the 1177 Anglo-Norman invasion of East Ulster. It was erected as an act of repentance for the destruction of the Abbey of Erinagh 3 miles South be de Courcy in 1177.

Inch Abbey was shut down in the dissolution of the monasteries in the Mid 16th Century and has been a ruin for more than 450 years.

Hoddom Castle is a large tower house in Dumfries and Galloway, south Scotland. It is located by the River Annan, 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south-west of Ecclefechan.

The lands of Hoddom or Hoddam belonged to the Herries family, allies of the Bruce family who were Lords of Annandale from 1124. It passed to the Carruthers family, and then to the Maxwells. At the core of the castle is an L-plan tower house, built in the 16th century. It was probably built for Sir John Maxwell, who acquired Hoddom in the mid 16th-century when he married the heiress Agnes, Lady Herries. Maxwell also built Repentance Tower, on the hill to the south, as a watchtower for the castle.

In the aftermath of the reign of Mary, Queen of Scots, the Regent Moray besieged Hoddom, which capitulated after only one day. It was briefly the base of the Warden of the Scottish West March, but was recaptured in 1569 by supporters of Queen Mary. The following year it was attacked by the English under Lord Scroop, who blew up the tower.

This tower was repaired and expanded in the 17th century to form a courtyard castle. It was acquired by Sir Richard Murray from the 6th Lord Herries, and then became the property of the Earl of Southesk in 1653. In 1690 it passed to the Sharpe family. In around 1826, General Matthew Sharpe of Hoddom commissioned William Burn to design modern extensions to the south and west of the castle. Hoddom was purchased in 1877 by the Brook family of Meltham, Huddersfield, who later bought nearby Kinmount House. Further extensions were built in a neo-Jacobean style to the north and west, some at least to designs by architects Wardrop and Anderson.

The house was requisitioned by the military during the Second World War, and was not reoccupied afterwards. In the 1970s William Burn's extensions were largely demolished. The castle now stands in the grounds of a caravan park, and the remaining 19th-century additions are used as offices.

Have you ever set up for a shot away from the crowd and then just one person decides to walk into your frame and stays there for a while? This is what happened when I took this shot. A kid decided to play with some sand toys right in front of me. I didn’t really mind since I had such a nice view. Besides, a big part of landscape photography is patience. You have to wait for some clouds to move, the light to hit just right, or for some kid to move just a couple more steps to the side.

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9

Pinturicchio (Bernardino di Betto Betti - Perugia, circa 1452 - Siena, December 11, 1513) - Madonna and Child with St. John (1490-1500) - tempera on wood panel height 79 cm; diameter 108 cm; widt

The panel depicts, according to an iconography widespread in Italian painting, the Virgin, the infant Jesus, and St. John the Baptist, who is also an infant, arranged in a pyramidal pattern. The Child raises his right hand in a gesture of blessing and with his left hand clasps the scroll that comes with the processional cross of Saint John and bears the inscription "Ecce Agnus Dei". The Baptist points to him, alluding to his future passion. In the center, behind the Virgin, a golden drape of honor interrupts the view of the landscape, in which the procession of the Magi towards Bethlehem is depicted on the left and the Flight into Egypt on the right. The painting has been attributed to Pintoricchio since the first years of 1900: it is found a tight relationship with the shovel of Saint Maria dei Fossi, realized by the Umbrian painter around 1496-1498. While the Madonna and the landscape are of very high quality, the Child and San Giovannino appear of more mediocre workmanship: it is possible that a collaborator of Pinturicchio participated in the realization of the painting. The autography of the teacher is revealed in some virtuosities, typical of his style, as for example in the band that, held by the Virgin, encircles the sides of the Child, or in the elaborate fabric to the shoulders of the figures. The decorative attitude typical of the painter is also evident in the use of gold and in details such as the little shoes of Jesus and the camel's hair robe of the Baptist, fastened at the waist with a branch of ivy. The landscape, rendered with ease and also referable to the hand of Pinturicchio, was painted with great care: a fortified city and some tall trees can be glimpsed, balancing the monumental size of the main figures on either side. The hand of the collaborator has been found in the dress of the Madonna, in the San Giovannino, stocky and little dynamic despite the mantle moved from the wind, and in the Bambino, that moves in the space with little fluency. An X-ray of the panel revealed a repentance in the elaboration of Jesus' legs.

Philippians 4:8

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any

praise, think on these things."

This doesn't mean you bury your heads under the sand and avoid the

truth of the times.

*The Blasphemy Law is coming to America

I don't believe real Christians will go all through the Tribulation. Most who are

living luke warm chrisianity will surely be left behind to face the horrors.

Although we differ in idea with this poster

regarding the understanding of the RAPTURE event, it has nothing to do with

the gospel and core idea of salvation through Christ. However, I think this man is right

regarding the coming great persecutions of Christians through the Blasphemy law

in favour of the one world / interfaith religion.

*ISRAEL SET TO ACCEPT THE PEACE DEAL

I'm close to believing this is the prophetic Daniel 9 fulfilment-

If this is it, then we are rolling towardsTribulation time line soon so close.

Have you noticed many changes around us, the weather, many dead

animals. many high intensity earthquakes happening more often, rivers/seas

turn blood red. How much more signs needed for people to wake up

and return to God, seek Him even closer .

These are all spoken in the Bible . The Peace agreement coincides with

utter precision to this time line - how can anyone discredit the Bible

prophecies ? Salvation is only through Jesus of Nazareth and no other

name given under heaven where we get saved ( John 14:6).

*Russian President Vladimir Putin Rebukes U.S. for Abandoning God and Christian Values

Putin is right in this terms . I'm happy there's still one leader in

this world that still express his opinion regarding pat of the commandments

of God and not giving away the our spiritual Christian values to

the dogs . Hasn't Jesus warned us of this perverted times to happen.

When what is evil is considered good, and what is good is considered evil.

There's a big judgement to come , and let it

be , maybe when hell break loose many will wake up seeking God

leading unto repentance. When everything is fine

people forget God.

Prophetic times we are in ....

In episode of The Chosen, Simon Peter and Centurion Gaius repair a cistern. Simon quotes Jerimiah 2: 13.

My people are guilty of two evils:

They have abandoned Me, the spring of living waters;

And instead, they have settled for dead and stagnant water

from cracked, leaky cisterns of their own making.

Israel relied on cisterns for their water supply. The area received no more that 20 inches of water each year. Therefore, the tribes gathered rains for future use. Although useful for survival, cistern waters risked becoming polluted. Likewise, mankind has corrupted the gifts of creation. The Eternal proclaimed I am the One who delivered you into this land of abundance

to enjoy its fruits and many good things. (Jerimiah 2: 7).

In Hosea 6, the Eternal speaks of mankind’s infidelity and fickle nature. “Your loyalty to Me is like fog in the morning,

like dew that evaporates at sunrise.

5 This is why I cut them with the words of the prophets

and destroyed them with the words of My mouth.

My judgment went forth like the light of the rising sun.

6 For I want not animal sacrifices, but mercy.

I don’t want burnt offerings; I want people to know Me as God!”

Whether 3000 years ago or today, man takes Go’s guidance lightly. With a flippant attitude, people have sinned, asked for forgiveness, then returned to comfortable sin. Since the industrial revolution, man has exploited the Earth for his own financial benefit. The radical changes in climate – drought and floods - testify to the damage man inflicted. We speak of reform, but find it politically and economically unpalatable. The people of Ephraim did what they wanted, then errantly expected sacrifices to make amends, allowing them to turn back to living a life far from Eternal truths.

I lived a similar life, seeking a passing relationship with God. Yet my seeds were thrown among the rocks, taking temporary root, only to have me trample upon those seed. I heard the word and received it immediately with joy and enthusiasm; but without deep roots, doubt, and a search for acceptance in a party world caused seed to wither, and likely brought lasting health consequences.

However, the grace of God has pulled me through, so that I may cultivate an attitude of repentance, and that new crops can grow among living waters. Jesus said “If you believe in Me … rivers of living water will flow from within you.” (John 7:38)
