A nice farmyard, three or four miles from my house. I've mentioned before I could likely do 365 Local Barns without repeating.

Stir crazy! Eventually you grow weary of photographing the house, the yard, and the village green. So I climbed in the car and wandered the nearby backroads.
Where I discovered someone had installed a tall radio tower since I'd last looked (not pictured--sorry.) I've since learned that it is part of an effort to build a wind farm west of Lansing. It seems the folks making the proposal were/are studying nearby wind patterns. At the time, though, the tower seemed pretty mysterious, out in the middle of a field and nowhere near a business. (FWIW, the wind farmers now seem to have moved their efforts a bit north from here, though the tower remains. We'll eventually see how things work out.)

Other photos taken on 4/25/2012: The Nikon 1 took 61 shots this day, mostly for the daily flower census.
As the drop falls it briefly looses its rounded shape as the sudden disconnection from the lengthening strand sends a shock wave through the drop. I think the three drop images are the different stages of one drops development, release and fall, as this is a repeating flash image [strobbed light]. A sligt redish trail of the drop falling, [seen best above the centre drop image], is also visible, as I had a fixed light with red filter on as well. I have added the green colour through photoshop just because I liked it - [greens my favourite colour].

Edited fabric pattern for Japanese clothes from the de Young Museum in San Francisco. The patterns all repeat in at least one direction. Converted to a 360° repeating pattern.
Suburbs repeat on, and on, and on, and on...

I don't know if this is really abstract or not, but it does have repeating elements. This is the view of Kelly's Slough (a local waterfowl protection area) through the bars of the observation deck.

This photo reminds me of the times I was a kid riding along in my parents car as the windows were rolled down. I'd lay my head on the window and watch the world whiz on by. It all became a beautiful blur and before I knew it we had arrived at our destination. Eventually I found myself wishing we could be back on the road so I could watch everything fly by me and into the past.
Perhaps then I should have known how easily I'd take to the idea of picking up and traveling at a moment of notice. Of course, now that I'm older I also have more responsibilities so simply picking up and going isn't so simple anymore.
Nevertheless, I ache to travel. Always have and I always will. One thing I do not ache to do however is to spend time looking in the past. It's there for a reason and I just hate to dwell on it. It brings me down and it brings me to a place of regret and second guessing. Two things I've tried terribly hard to rid myself of but just always seem to be there. I'm far too hard on myself and no matter what, I fear I always will be.

This is a photo from the "archives" as in, it's a photo I uploaded to Flickr nearly a year ago but never actually made it public. My computer is in for repairs and who knows when I will get it back. One thing I do know is that my hard drive took a nose dive. Yes sir, she went down; fried like an egg. Hopefully I'll have it back today or tomorrow at the latest. Until then, no new photos from me.

It was a funny sight to observe. The bee would come and sit on a rose plant, tear off a nearly circular piece of the leave (as seen in this picture) and then bring it back here and stuff it inside.Everytime it would go to the same rose plant and get the leaf parts from there. The bamboo stick seen above is a small (maybe 2-3 feet) hollow stick I have used to support one of my hibiscus plants.
The bee kept repeating this activity till the hollow place was full. Now when I peep inside I see a cellophane kind of web/nest inside
