At the beginning of cleanup, crews remove the existing landscaping. After the contaminated soil has been removed and clean soil has been installed, the prior landscape plants are replaced with younger smaller plants of the same variety.
I've wanted to visit this site since we moved to the area. So on the coldest day of the year (-14c + wind chill) I walked over a km (each way), only to find this stupid fence.
U15 (NE555) removed. Some no-connect pads were lifted during desoldering. Socket was soldered in and no rework was required. Interpod tested good after the work.
After the asbestos was abated, the next step was to finish the demo on the remaining areas of the house that would need to be replaced due to structural damage, smoke damage (smoke odor), and water damage (surprisingly little). This meant in the garage aread the roof, trusses, cabinets and walls came out, in the main house the underlayment under the flooring came out, and most of the flooring as well, kitchen countertops, and damaged electrical wiring, plumbing, and gas lines.

On Sunday, 7/10/16, over twenty volunteers arrived early this morning to help us removed over 30 bags of trash from three of our communities War of 1812 Monuments: Battle Acre Park, North Point Battlefield Park, and the Methodist Meeting House Monument. In addition to removing trash from the sites we also removed weeks from the brick work and monuments, cleaned the monument drains at Battle Acre, as well as mulching the area around the Methodist Meeting House Monument. We also discovered many shovel holes all over the grounds of North Point Battlefield Park (Most likely from amateur meter detectors/treasure hunters <which is highly illegal on any public park, battlefield or historic property!) and what appeared to be several miniature “green houses” at the rear of the property which was removed and recycled. We would truly like to thank all the volunteers who gave up their Sunday Morning to help us beautify and clean this important historic sites!
We could also like to thank renown author of Terror on the Chesapeake and War of 1812 historian Christopher T. George who was at North Point Battlefield, with displays, maps, handouts (A musket ball was found at this site with teeth marks on it – origin of the phrase “Bite the Bullet”!) plus a few of his books for sale He also answered questions about the Battle of Northpoint or the War of 1812. On the 17 May 1918 his mother received a package* containing Samuel's effects: a wrist watch metal (damaged) and strap; a pipe (broken) and a handkerchief. I can't imagine her grief.

The connections to the BFO sub-chassis and the coil back were unsoldered and these units removed from the main chassis. Then the rebuild could begin.

Mortise Deadbolt: Remove mortise cylinder similar to removing a mortise cylinder from an Adams Rite MS Lock.
1) Remove Bolt Strike Plate
2) Insert Allan Key to unscrew (lossen do not remove) set screw.
3) Unscrew Mortise Cylinder (counter clockwise)

Set of wooden coasters. I think that they're over 30 years old.
My first stobe session. Mounted Vivitar 550FD (manual mode) bounced off angled ceiling. SB30 hand held low right. Unfortunately I found that I had my ISO still set to 400 from shooting fireworks...I haven't figured out how to remove the noise well in post processing.
After removing the custom headliner I found it had been attached with a lot of thick glue that all had to come off. I used paint thinner to soften it up then a razor scraper to remove it. I took the liberty of writing my name and the date so it will be under the headliner for future discovery.

I was so disappoint this morning, when most people were at work, to see these Chinese urban management officers together with a policeman removing shallots and vegatables planted by the people living here, without attention ahead. Maybe these vegatables would be their meals...
