We had perfect weather to work with over 65 dedicated volunteers at Bear Creek Park and Stream as they removed trash and debris from the stream and the adjacent park. This included 180 bags of trash, an office chair, 3 bicycles, a minibike, the roll cage from a go-cart, much more! Thank you everyone so very much for all your incredible hard work under such tough conditions! Our volunteer’s dedication of working toward a cleaner, greener, healthier community and environment is without equal! Thank to everyone who volunteered with us today.
We would also like to thank the Ocean Conservancy, American Rivers, Day to Serve, National Public Lands Day and Trash Free Maryland for all their assistance and support on this cleanup. We could like to thank Chick fila Eastpoint for their incredible donation of chicken sandwiches, iced tea and cookies, Pap Johns Dundalk for donating pizza, Squires for donating pizza, Robert Jones for cooking and donating pulled pork and rolls. Thank you also to Baltimore County Highways for supplying us with a dumpster for our cleanup.
Back country highways in Utah are 70mph, as they are in Nevada and California. In Washington they are 55mph. Just in incase you forget they will remind you for about $144.

Remove the edge of the protective film to make sure both panels line up properly. Gradually tighten both ends of panel, make sure the base is on a flat surface...

Bulkheads removed at Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock – last hurdle in $3 million upgrade:
A contractor crews lifts steel bulkheads on the upstream side of the St. Anthony Falls Lock on March 20, a tricky maneuver completed in advance of anticipated high flows resulting from snowpack melt in the Mississippi headwaters. For nearly two weeks lock staff and personnel from the maintenance and repair section broke-up mounds of ice that had accumulated below the bulkheads to ensure the miter gates and tainter gate were operational and the bulkheads wouldn’t stick during their removal by means of a crane. With the bulkheads removed, the site can now be used to mitigate potential flood impacts by releasing water through the lock chamber (Of the 13 locks and dams in the St. Paul District, only Upper and Lower St. Anthony Falls were constructed to mitigate for flood impacts). Removal of the bulkheads also signifies the near-completion of a major rehab project here that includes installation of new machinery to raise and lower the tainter gate and the application of a protective coating on the tainter and miter gates, highlighting an effort to ensure operability of our critical infrastructure for future generations.

Students are working very fast at removing all the components from the bike frame, in order to get it ready to join to the e-pusher trailer.
Now that the hair is gone you can see how flat the back of her head is. It may have been like that from the start, but I think I managed to do that when pressing the head against the bottom of a pot of boiling water while trying to defrizz her hair.
