Macro Monday- Stars. HMM Everyone :)
saw this today at a koi pond outside of a vineyard tasting room (more vineyard pics to come)
the color was so wonderful, and the lone flower just seemed to be asking for a picture! it was a sunny day, so i couldnt really tell how the picture would come out, but i was thrilled to see this as i uploaded my pictures!
Reminding the fact this right of way was built to passenger train standard and speed, four MLWs works upgrade out of Maria,QC and into one of the road's super elevated curve.
With no passenger train since Transport Canada embargoed the line for VIA Rail back in August 2013, 115lbs jointed section of rails only saw tired RS18s plying them fortunately with more tonnage every time since the bad years of the line after the sale from Canadian National and the closure of the huge Gaspésia Pulp and Paper plant in Chandler and Smurfit Stone cardboard plant in New-Richmond.
Passenger trains should be back on the track in 2026 after expensive work over the line's bridges and roadbed who led to the reopening of the whole 202 mile-long line down to Gaspé, like they did for the first time more than a century ago.

Again- really reminds of the Exorcist, right? Here's the full view of the castle wall from the previous shot.
I'm pretty sure we were caught in the beams once or twice- I wonder if our giant forms were suddenly cast upon the castle for all to see?
We did our best to stay hidden though, moving -I think- like trained spies, from shadow to shadow, crouching and sprinting. I mean, in the rubbishy way the two of us do. But still.
I took quite a lot of shots whilst we were here, but the lighting conditions were just dire so I think this will be the last one. There was a nice one of the interior courtyard, but I think I'd be embarrassed to upload it to Flickr. I don't want people knowing how bad a photographer I really am..

Somehow reminded me of the movie, but without having a reason for it, didn't it? Maybe the striped shirt? The dog was also amazed, what was he standing there? Does he have a treat? Cool moment, and click.
Cooler Augenblick, dann klick
Reminding myself that summer will be here in a few months and that we don't live in the arctic, -20c last night!!
Can't believe this photo was taken 8 years ago!
Whenever I point my camera at a cow (or a horse, or bird, or sheep, etc)… the stupid animal usually runs away long before I manage to compose any decent shots!
So when I noticed this herd of cows actually walking towards me while I was walking towards this huge lone tree yesterday afternoon… I knew that I simply couldn’t miss this opportunity to capture my first Bovine Sunset!!
A couple of weeks ago I learned that a hazy sky can really spoil a zoomed-in photograph taken during the day… and yesterday I was reminded again how much that same hazy sky can really enhance the colours of a sunset!
Whooee… I’m really, really loving this Sigma 18-200mm lens!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Nikon D300, Sigma 18-200mm at 44mm, aperture of f10, with a 1/125th second exposure.

Reminded me of an aerial shot of another planet as I stood by the old apple tree at the bottom of the garden. The gnarled, heavily textured trunk a landscape in its own right. There may be a few more of these to come!
Pic reminds me of this great song my all time favorite singer Chris Ledoux sang. Listen to the whole song as it is pretty funny!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XAsSHfrW3I
Listening to that song reminds me of one night after a rodeo Ledoux was singing and my brother (I think) and I were sitting on the top of the bucking chutes with FRONT ROW "seats" to his concert. Nobody else was around and we were the $#*%. Song after sone we were just sitting up there singing away with all of his old country songs. In his later years, he started to sing a little more rock n roll with a little more flare and boom like the pyrotechnics that were not quite directly under us that some stage hand is probably still laughing about when we almost flipped off the back of the chute when that fire or firework or whatever the hell it was came blowing up right next to us. Ha #*$&%^@ ha
Never again did I sit on the chutes at a Chris Ledoux concert!!!
Macro Mondays theme: Glass
My subject is a bud vase I bought 60 years ago at a yard sale of an old family friend and antique dealer. To my 16 year old self it was a treasure and reminded me of the art of Aubrey Beardsley. I have always called it my Aubrey Beardsley vase, though he was from the Art Nouveau period and this vase is probably Deco. The glass is in two layers. The inside layer is a nearly opaque yellow and the outside layer is clear. The black and white details are painted on the outer part of the clear layer. It is difficult to photograph as the inner and outer surfaces both catch the light and the painted lines cast shadows. Unfortunately the best lighting had the worst background, so not as artistic.

reminds me of a phoenix ....the magic of the night ....straight out of camera...one of the few that i like using the fisheye lens
From photography Echuca tour. Victoria Australia . Love line of land and trees . Fog covered land and make misty steam by morning sun lights .Reminds me my country..
Reminding myself again of the lovely summer we had in 2018.
Traipsing through the gorse & heather on Corndon Down, looking up to Corndon Tor on the horizon. This is uphill from Dartmeet off the road to Sherwell.
It seemed to be exceptionally colourful last year.
Reminds me of Pseudisotoma sensibilis.

Fun with reflections at the "Kranzler Eck" in Berlin's City West. The new Kranzler Eck (Kranzler is the name of a famous café, "Eck", short for "Ecke", means corner) was designed by Helmuth Jahn of Jahn/Morphy Architects, was built between 1998 and 2000. It so falls into the same era as the first Matrix movie. The glass architecture, especially with the reflections and the shades of green, reminded me of the movie (and also of a maze), and since three bee colonies live on the roof of the new Kranzler Eck, it reminded me even more of the movie, hence the title ;)
Please note: The lens info shown in the EXIF is wrong. This image was not taken with the Laowa 6mm lens (which I'd borrowed just before this walk from my Mom, magrit k.), but with my Laowa C-Dreamer 7.5mm lens. I had forgotten to reset the camera's lens info settings for manual lenses.
Have a nice week, dear Flickr friends!
Reminds me of the Meerkats you see at the zoo !
The Three Gossips stand in the Courthouse Towers section of Arches N.P., Utah
And yes; I waited for that cloud ;-)
Actually, I took my new rolling blind out looking for elk in their fall rut. I got a little side-tracked here on the Northern California coast. I spent some time at this spot working on splashes. This one kinda reminds me what happens if you drop a full cardboard carton of milk there in the foreground. Check it Large.
