I'm reminded that The Lord has called us to in some shape or form to serve others...to be servants of all (I.E. Matthew 23:11, Mark 9:35) and whoever is the least is really the greatest ( I.E. Luke 9:48)

Jesus was our prime example of being a humble and selfless servant.

I wonder though how selfless and humble are we willing to be as we strive to be more Christ-like and walk in His footsteps?

Ultimately our reward will be in heaven so I pray that while we do take care of ourselves as we should, that we don't get so caught up in "self" including our own pursuits that we lose sight of serving others as humble, selfless and willing servants.

Saw this in Makati a few days ago. Decided to take a snap of it. On a day where I felt extremely down, the universe decided to make me feel better by showing me this as if to say, "dude, it could be worse...you could be them." :s

I didn't catch the make of this vehicle (front). The radiator-grille doesn't remind me of Ford, but there's no telling what type of customization may have occurred over the past 80 or 90 years. Holy cow, these cars are nearly 100 years old!

! - Immediately after typing that, I looked it up. They are related: both are monocots of the order Asparagales.
I had thought yuccas were related to lilies.
I'm not sure what I feel about what is happening with the Old Dame of Sydney - The Queen Victoria Building. The building itself always reminds me of the many memories of my Grandmother (on my mothers side) when we used to visit when I was small.
They're redoing the paint and they've significantly lightened the colour scheme, making the place feel more vibrant and airy. At the same time they've installed new escalators, which I assume is designed to get the lazy arses of Sydney into the upper levels of shops and boost sales. Its just, they don't fit in very well and appear to crowd the space that has just been opened up.
If you're in Sydney and have visited I'd love to hear your thoughts. It is, after all, an iconic building of Sydney, and one that I cherish for personal reasons.
Reminds of that episode of Fawlty Towers when Basil berates Sybil, something along the lines of
"Next contestant Sybil Fawlty from Torquay, specialist subject the bleeding obvious."
