Again- really reminds of the Exorcist, right? Here's the full view of the castle wall from the previous shot.
I'm pretty sure we were caught in the beams once or twice- I wonder if our giant forms were suddenly cast upon the castle for all to see?
We did our best to stay hidden though, moving -I think- like trained spies, from shadow to shadow, crouching and sprinting. I mean, in the rubbishy way the two of us do. But still.
I took quite a lot of shots whilst we were here, but the lighting conditions were just dire so I think this will be the last one. There was a nice one of the interior courtyard, but I think I'd be embarrassed to upload it to Flickr. I don't want people knowing how bad a photographer I really am..

I won't be able to take a walk tomorrow, or probably the day after, so this will have to suffice for my Thursday Walk. There are only so many places within walking distance of my work that I can get to in a reasonable amount of time. The small, man-made ponds by the hotel across the street rarely have much of interest.
And then I saw a bird's nest. At eye level. One click of the shutter and I knew this was going to be today's picture.
This iris reminds me of an antique ball gown. I've loved peach and lavender together since I first saw the color combination in the late 1970's--in a bedding of flowers in a McDonald's parking lot. I was an art student at the time, trying to understand how to use color. When I saw the two colors together the first time, it evoked a pleasure that was almost emotion. It struck me as a moment of progress, because I felt like I was beginning to understand the power of color.
p.s. This iris just opened overnight, but she shows some tatters from the heavy rain we got.
I don't have a name for this pretty plant...but as I passed it a few times walking through the swamp / marsh it kept reminding me of Christmas time Candy Canes! The light was right so I tried, a little to much lens but I thought it was pretty.
Reminding myself that summer will be here in a few months and that we don't live in the arctic, -20c last night!!
Can't believe this photo was taken 8 years ago!
Reminded me of an aerial shot of another planet as I stood by the old apple tree at the bottom of the garden. The gnarled, heavily textured trunk a landscape in its own right. There may be a few more of these to come!
Pic reminds me of this great song my all time favorite singer Chris Ledoux sang. Listen to the whole song as it is pretty funny!

Listening to that song reminds me of one night after a rodeo Ledoux was singing and my brother (I think) and I were sitting on the top of the bucking chutes with FRONT ROW "seats" to his concert. Nobody else was around and we were the $#*%. Song after sone we were just sitting up there singing away with all of his old country songs. In his later years, he started to sing a little more rock n roll with a little more flare and boom like the pyrotechnics that were not quite directly under us that some stage hand is probably still laughing about when we almost flipped off the back of the chute when that fire or firework or whatever the hell it was came blowing up right next to us. Ha #*$&%^@ ha
Never again did I sit on the chutes at a Chris Ledoux concert!!!
Reminds me somewhat of a painting the way this turned out.
I appreciate each and every visit, comment and fave here on my little corner of the world as seen through my lens.
HAPPY VALENTINES ! Love is like a garden. It requires attention, tender care and cultivation. Remind your partner in a special way how important, valued and loved he or she is to you this coming Valentines Day! You will have some shared cherished memories when you do.

Reminding myself again of the lovely summer we had in 2018.
Traipsing through the gorse & heather on Corndon Down, looking up to Corndon Tor on the horizon. This is uphill from Dartmeet off the road to Sherwell.
It seemed to be exceptionally colourful last year.
Reminds me of Pseudisotoma sensibilis.
Found at the foot of a poplar.
Up : 3x the same springtail
down : a more juvenile one

This detail of a White rose reminded me of folds, soft waves... white satin sheets... nights in white satin.
Wishing you a day full of good light and thanks for your visit, M, (*_*)

And yes; I waited for that cloud ;-)
…… Reminded me of Tonto & The Lone Ranger!! OK I’m showing my age a bit there - I remember an episode when Tonto tied Horseshoes to their horses sewn onto cloth but the wrong way around so they were not followed!! Clever eh !!! Spotted on a Bridleway in the village here but sadly neither the Lone Ranger or Tonto were in sight - Praps I went the wrong way LOL! Taken on my phone in Apple RAW & edited to B&W in Lightroom. BTW - the TV series was in Black & White too 😋. Alan:-)……..

Today theme is Ukranian trade. Sometimes it felt really "Back in USSR!"
The blue thing on the left is traditional scales which i remember since my early childhood. They are really in harmony with the salted cucumbers in a opened jar - probably sold by one. Only new thing is Cola bottles...
Sedona is in the transition between autumn and winter during this time of year and the weather system that rolled through over the last couple of days reminded us of that! In this scene an unusually late and colorful autumn display nicely contrasts with the results of an unusually early brush with winter.
