My first attempt at Lomography's Berlin Kino 400 ISO film. Having read that it probably is relabeled Orwo N75, I found a development recipe that said 10 Minutes @ 20°C in my favourite 510 Pyro... Which resulted in the darkest film base I have ever encountered and most of the exposures look severely underdeveloped with fist-sized grain. Well, I still enjoy the mood in this one :-)

Lomography Babylon 13 film/Adox HR-DEV 1+39 developer

Testing Babylon 13 (relabeled Orwo DN21), a low-speed specialty film that comes with little processing information; the web is also mostly silent about it. Developing in Adox HR-DEV for 11 min. at 22° C worked quite well, with better shadow detail than in Adox FX-39 II also for 11 min. at 22° C.

Heute mal wieder ein Bild von meinem zweiten Hobby.

Modelleisenbahn in Spur N im Maßstab 1:160 nach DDR Vorbild.

Zu sehen ist 118 755-8 in sogenannter Sparlackierung, der weiße Streifen ist hier nur an den Fronten des Gehäuses lackiert, bei normaler Lackierung wäre dieser Streifen auch an den Seiten vorhanden. Ich habe das Modell als FDJ-Jugendlok umbeschriftet und mit Pulverfarben dezent gealtert. Die Lok hat einen Personenzug aus 2 und 3-Achsigen Rekowagen am Haken. Im Vordergrund liegt noch ein Stück altes Gleis, das wurde nach der Begradigung der Strecke nicht zurück gebaut und wird nun langsam wieder von der Natur überwachsen.

Today again a picture of my second hobby.

Model railway in gauge N in the scale 1:160 based on the GDR model.

118 755-8 can be seen in the so-called economy paintwork, the white stripe is only painted on the front of the housing here, with normal paintwork this stripe would also be present on the sides. I relabeled the model as an FDJ youth locomotive and aged it subtly with powder paint. The locomotive has a passenger train made up of 2 and 3-axle Reko wagons on the hook. In the foreground is a piece of old track that was not restored after the line was straightened and is now slowly being overgrown by nature.

After that confrontation in the streets, we had to lay down a serious presence. We ended up stunning the rioter with a short range, quick time stun pistol of mine. We went back to the barracks after the riots died down during a setting twilight. It was a peaceful walk yet as we entered the very threshold of our temporary home, smoke covered the sunset and a echo roared through the streets. The leaves in the park shook and fell. Immediately, reports came over comm.

“We have a squad leader down by the main assembly complex. A massive explosion has hit. We have clankers. I repeat, we have clankers!” Mourning squad turned right around and panned out: I followed suite. As we were on our way, we needed to pick up lethals, so we hit a care package landing in an alley. I picked up a long range and took my WESTAR M-5. As for my vibro blade, I never left it. Upon entering the complex’s front entrance, we saw another squad far off taking a side door. We planned to breach the small circular maintenance door we’d seen in briefings. There was something of a barricade made out of barrels and drums. I sent Pall up on the sill over the wall to check out some other barrels while Bearer and I hit the clankers guarding the door. Some easy blasts and standard procedure. Pall gasped over comm.

“Sir, they’ve got Republic fuel relabeled under the CIS insignia.” What are they at? Funneling assets of the Republic into the Separatist cause? This is a step further than simple rioting. We need to get to this CIS leader ASAP.

Okay, I have no idea if this is a parrot. For all I know it is an oversize parakeet or something. But this beautiful bird finally sat almost in range of getting a decent shot, though it was way up in a tree -- at least the tree was in my yard this time. I only manage to get a few in focus because the green of the parakeet was mixed in with the green around it and the camera struggled a bit with finding the eye. I'm glad, though, to finally have one of this bird, which has been swooping past me for a month out of reach.
