Why won't she just accept the flower!?

Destro appologieses, and he wisely rejects Cobra Commander's offer. He clearly doesn't want to get involved in this project, he and the Baroness clearly see more in the upcoming raids the Dreadnoks are planning on several banks.

English Christian Movie "On a Mission" | The Love of God Is With Me on the Way of the Cross

www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/on-a-mission-movie/

Christian Chen Yixin has believed in the Lord for many years, and has been fortunate enough to welcome the Lord Jesus' return in the last days—Almighty God! She came to understand God's urgent will to save mankind from Almighty God's words as well as the mission and responsibility a created being should undertake, so she began sharing the gospel and bearing witness to God's work in the last days. While doing this she travels to many cities and provinces and suffers suppression and rejection from religious circles over and over as well as pursuit and persecution by the CCP government. She endures a lot of suffering. However, under the guidance of God's words, she remains on her mission, unafraid of danger, courageously going forward …

Day 34/365

Alone and rejected

I gave you everything I had

Could have swore you really loved me

The light in my life has died

I'm tired of being depressed and confused

Sick of constantly thinking of you

You stole my heart and destroyed it

Yet I still want us to be forever

This says it all.

PS. the funny thing is even though I haven't done a selfie in awhile I've actually taken the time to find things and set up these other pictures though :)

I went to a book reading of the sequel to the popular collection of rejected New Yorker cartoons. Editor (and cartoonist) Matt Diffee brought a slideshow of cartoons from both collections. In between showing them, he and David Sipress answered questions about the book and about drawing cartoons for the New Yorker. Of course, when it was done, I had to buy a copy of the book! I love the subtitle - Cream of the Crap.

I found out that a big grant evaded me once again. Rejection is a given in the arts, but this is one that comes around every four years for painting and this is the third time I've attempted to get one. Plus, $60,000 is nothing to sneeze at. Of course, technically, it's money that I'm not losing since I never had it in the first place. Then again, it would have made a HUGE difference.

Even though I'm used to the process and possibiliy of not being chosen, I still wonder what I could have done differently to get my application to the final stage: where my essays and work samples not strong enough? Was there something missing on my art resumé? and so on...

Anyway, onward...

Today I went back to where I saw the comma butterfly and I was pleased to have captured some specific behaviour by an orange-tip butterfly.

The female (white wings with black tips) flattens her wings against the foliage, raises her abdomen and opens her valves. This is not a 'come-on' as you might expect. Rather, it is the reverse and she is signalling to the approaching male (orange wingtips) that she has already mated and that he should move on and look elsewhere. Pheromones are also believed to be involved.

He made half a dozen approaches (just to be sure she wasn't playing 'hard-to-get') before leaving.

Take his heart out & stomp on it!

Feb. 17, 2016. Burlington, MA.

Protest at the administrative offices of Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Burlington, MA to demand a moratorium on deportations and ICE’s rejection of the applications for 287(g) agreements from the Sheriff Departments of Essex and Plymouth counties. If signed, organizers believe the agreement would increase the number of immigrant families being destroyed by deportation.

According to organizers between 2005 and 2010, 87% of cases involving undocumented immigrants with U.S. citizen children ended in deportation. Of all children in U.S. public schools, 6.9% are children of undocumented parents and 82% of those children are U.S. citizens. The Congressional mandate that sets a bed quota requiring Immigration and Customs Enforcement to detain 34,000 undocumented immigrants on any given night fuels the destruction of immigrant families. ICE is the only law enforcement agency that is subject to a national quota system for incarceration.

In this video, my partner took the video at the other side of the street inside the University where I approached someone who passed by and asked if he has some little time to spare. I offered him to buy my LG phone at a low price which he then inspected and jokingly tried to drop. He returned the phone afterwards after saying that he is not interested buying it and that he still has a class to attend to.

The female here (bottom) is letting the approaching male know she is not interested in mating. She does this by lifting her abdomen up.

Reason for Rejection :

- Skin showing [Side Stomache]

This is the face of a six year old who is turned down to go down the awesome twisty waterslide because he is a HAIR too small.....not pretty. (We later saw the rejector leave her post and be replaced by a highly suggestible teen boy...who let the miserable six year old go down the slide twice...thanks suggestible teen boy!)

"Teeth" is a watercolour study of a mouth, stripped of the lips. This is a clear rejection of the perfect Hollywood smile, projected as an essential part of modern beauty. I wanted to embrace the imperfect "before" version of my own teeth, as seen in the photographs in my orthodontist's office. The nature of the colours I chose is bold and visceral. I wanted the viewer to feel like they could lick both these and their own teeth. I also wanted the lack of lips to feel distressing and uncomfortable.

"Ribs" is a reductive charcoal drawing. I used a real set of ribs and shoulder blade that were on a wall at an anatomical drawing course. The clarity of the shoulder blade emerging from the darkness gives an unusual point of focus to this picture.

"Feet" is a study of my big brother's feet. He is an atypical model as he is both a ballet dancer and a rugby player, and his feet are both very strong yet elegant. I wanted to examine them in the manner of Michaelangelo in his several studies such as "Study for the Lybian Sybil."
