Everyone at Yahoo is getting new laptops over the next few weeks. I got a 15" Retina MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM and a 500GB SSD. It is insanely fast. Pretty pleased.

Today we shine the spotlight (figuratively or literally) on the often overlooked and under appreciated surface that is beneath your dog. Give thought to what will be supporting your dog (ground, floor, sofa, … etc) for today's picture, and try to either find something interesting in itself or an interesting/dramatic way of showing off whatever the support is. As always, include a dog and have some fun!

I often shoot what is referred to as snapshots which is just a quick and less planned out shot. You take your camera, point and shoot, no regards to framing or composition. Snap shots are relegated to family events usually, cause you're just trying to shoot as much as you can without any artistic agenda. When I'm doing street shots I'm not really looking for a particular shot as I am looking for a particular setting. I look for the right light, shadows or even back drop and then let the subject come into place. I do however employ a snapshot method at times and get lucky with the results. This is one of them. This was captured in Soho on a weekend when it's usually packed with shoppers of all kind.
What's she thinking, who and what is she thinking about? What is she drinking, is her weekend going well, is she thinking about today, tomorrow or yesterday. Will there be a celebration afterwards, dinner with friends or is it homework? Has their been heart break, does she know pain does she feel pain? Is this her best happy face or the face of content? So many questions so little answers, just more questions. These are the reasons I shoot and I will continue shooting. Happy Sunday to everyone

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you...
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

To see such clean-looking water in California for a change :)
Also, today in general was extremely refreshing. It was like we just woke up and started over, falling away all over again.
I was stunned by the world's beauty today. More so, I was stunned by the beauty I could so easily reach, capture, travel to.
Truly refreshing indeed :)
