Not quite a perfect reflection on our walk out from Mangaehuehu Hut today, but still very pretty.
Managed amazing weather, compared to the forecast!

Hope you all are having a super day!!! Looks like my backlog of processing is heading into the new year...overlap...
Thanks so much for your visits!! Truly appreciated!
Zinky's sign is reflective, so it's easy to see at night. It's been nailed to this post for decades and has served as a shining landmark for those seeking the small, rustic cabin at the end of the lane, at the edge of the lake. The cabin isn't there anymore; it's been replaced with a house with indoor plumbing and a bathroom. And the lane's been extended, designated a road, and given a name. I don't know what it is.
Amy and I stayed in that small, rustic cabin on our wedding night. It was our first time there without her parents, and we were scared not only by the magnitude of the day but by the cabin's creepy creaks and groans.
The next day, we went to New York City and saw the Broadway play Amadeus. For breakfast the following morning, we split a bagel. It was all we could afford.
Shortly after that, we began our new lives in Maryland.
Amy and I recently spent a weekend in the house with indoor plumbing and a bathroom. We and our extended family were celebrating the 50th birthday of Amy's youngest sibling. We were also celebrating the uncertain passage of time.
Zinsky was a sign maker, I believe. I don't know if he's still alive--hard to imagine he is--but I'm happy to report his sign is still there, still showing the way.

Out of chaos there emerged emotional coherence; the power of her turbulent desire was transformed into a passion to care; a commitment to truth became a driving force; beneath her intellectual and emotional vitality she found an undercurrent of wisdom; and in the secrecy of an untidy bathroom her heart’s deepest longing was met in the practice of adoration.

I love smoothies. And I especially love making them at home. So I always go out to buy frozen veggies and fruits so that I can pop them into the blender at any time and make smoothies.
On the first day of 2014, I decided to make smoothies bright and early in the morning. I felt so inspired for some reason.
And then, for the same reason, I saw that there was perfect light falling on my kitchen island, so I ran and grabbed my camera with my 35mm lens. The photos came out so bright, and I loved them.
Because of that, I made this post on a new website I found, Exposure:
Do check it out!
Also, to reflect on the past year, and how much I've grown as a student and as a photographer, I made another post:
I'm not much of a "deep thoughts" person. But sometimes I feel like reflecting. I guess this wasn't the week for it. Probably because my mind is caught in the midst of my graduate school applications, as well as a lab report and presentation that I have coming up in the next week. Lucky me, going back to school. My last semester of undergrad. This is exciting. I just want it to be over with though.
Anyways, wishing myself luck on another Project 52!
Thank you all for always inspiring me and for your sweet sweet comments!
Cheers.

I was passing a playground that Rumblemumbles showed me some years ago, because of its novelty items.
Unfortunately the only thing left was the wavey mirror under the tree.
I had a good look for the original shot taken with RM but can't find it, reinforcing the importance of tagging photos, which I was a bit lax at in the beginning.
I bet you can't find the photographer in this shot.
By the ways :- - - I don't think I am in the shot and, this is SOOC except for a slight increase in brightness.
This shot is from sunrise at bogey hole. I reall wanted to get low on this shot to maximize the reflections. Although there is not one focal point, the chains are really intricate and amazing especially in the film shot which is very yellow and purple because of the way the white balance on the film. Still like it here though - can't wait to get the film scanned

This castle has it’s rumours. There are the stories about the man in the jeep and his accomplice on the scooter watching over this castle.
The castle was built in 1860 by an marquis who lived in the town and it still is in Royal’s hands. Apparently, the owners cannot agree about a plan to preserve the heritage and therefore the place is left abandoned without having anybody to care for it.
The impromptu 2 day tour with camerashy and host to France and Belgium, with some new places, a lot of travel with minimal sleep and some goals being accomplished by getting to a certain school.

Looking out to sea
www.sefton.gov.uk/around-sefton/another-place-by-antony-g...
"Another Place is an artwork by Antony Gormley. It is made up of 100 cast iron figures situated across an area of sandy beach over 3km long (approx 2 miles).
The Another Place figures - each weighing 650 kilos - are made from casts of the artist's own body and are shown at different stages of rising out of the sand, all of them looking out to sea, staring at the horizon in ‘silent expectation.’
Antony Gormley says the installation is a poetic response to the individual and universal sentiments associated with emigration - sadness at leaving, but the hope of a new future in Another Place."
