Reflection both literally and in mood. I liked the pose of this egret and also the shadow and reflection.
Finally :) It is so good to be back!
I got back from my work trip just today so just posting another image from the archives. I'm off to shoot again this weekend and I hope to get a few good shots to share with you all.
This is another image from the town of Hue, which was the ancient capital of Vietnam. The architecture is very much influenced by Chinese and we were treated with some beautiful structure, mausoleums and the grand ancient citadel.
Hope everybody is doing good. Will catchup with your stream today. Thanks for dropping by!
I took this photo recently, in a river near my house. I havn't been able to use flicker for a while, so now I can upload more pics!
Reflections
If you enlarge the water droplet on the right hand petal of this snowdrop you will see a reflection of the church which has very special memories for Mrs P and I from many many years ago, ding dong💕🎉💃😎
Right, back to serious stuff, in the early hours of this morning Nipper went out into our garages and fired up the Jensen Interceptor.
I hear you all say what is Nipper still doing at your house.
Well lend me your ear, as you all know Mrs Penberthey went to Jamaica on a last minute holiday deal and asked Horace to look after Nipper, her young Jack Russell.🚙🐶🐾🐾
Now as her homeward flight was hurtling down the runway of Montego Bay a thrust bearing broke up in one of the engines of the coffee machine.
Therefore the aeroplane had to taxi back to the stand, as ‘Village Airways’ have extremely high standards.
Mrs Penberthey face timed Nipper with this information and guess what, Nipper was straight on the phone to the bearing manufactures and told them not to supply a bearing as he was having so much fun with Hoof and Horace, so keep the plane there as long as possible.
There you have it.🐶😉
Where were we, yes the Jensen, Nipper drove it around to Hoof’s shed, hitched up a caravan, not any old grockle box, this was a state of the art command centre.
We are talking communication systems not even thought of yet that have been fitted to this CC. Forget 4G and 5G, these are more Ali G.📡
Hoof and Horace collected a large tarpaulin from the shed, a few tent poles and pegs the three of them then set off to West Cornwall on a mission.
Their aim is to suppress Storm Dennis, the plan is to erect a piece of tarpaulin from Land’s End across to The Lizard, in turn this might deflect a large percentage of the winds coming in from the Atlantic and send them skywards helping to protect large areas of the UK.⛺️⛺️💨💨💨
As Nipper was driving past Land’s End airport Hoof asked him to drive in as he felt he should inform the ground staff of their high tech plan and that he would be operating highly sophisticated communications systems in this area.📡📡
So the boys were invited in for elevenses in order to discuss the windbreak plan (steady) During these discussions Nipper noticed a policeman wearing a pilot’s uniform and said to Horace “that’s a bit odd” Horace said “it’s okay it’s a plane clothes cop.👮♂️🚓
I will leave you with this thought, Hoof was recently checking in his suitcases at an airport and asked the operative who was weighing them, “could you send one of my bags to Miami, send one to Florida, send one to Boston”.
They said “we are very sorry we can’t do that”
Hoof said “why not, you did it last time".✈️
Stay safe over the weekend.💨💨💨⛈⛈⛈⛑
Thank you very much for looking at my shots, your comments and banter are so appreciated. 👍🍺🍺🍺🍷🍷🍷🐎🐷🐶💃😎😂😂😂

Reflections in time
Canadian Museum of History
“In order to enter the exhibit space known as the Canadian History Hall, visitors are led down a striking corridor, brightly illuminated with warm light that reflects off 101 etched mirrors portraying scenes of Canadian culture. These illustrations show symbols of Canadian identity, culture, and communities and are based on feedback from Canadians who were asked where they see Canadian history in their day-to-day lives. The reflective surface is meant to remind the viewer that they, too, play a role in forming Canada’s history.
Once in the History Hall, visitors will note that consists of three separate galleries, which roughly represent three chronological stories of Canada’s 15,000-year relationship with human beings.
The museum partnered once again with the original architect, Douglas Cardinal, in its quest to modernize and revamp this exhibit space. For Cardinal, after four years of work, this new space represents “the culmination of his architectural vision for the museum.” (Museum CEO, Mark O’ Neill, 2017). This new exhibit space opened for the first time to the public on Canada Day 2017, Canada’s 150th birthday.”

Bird reflections on the San Francisco Bay at sunset.
I was cleaning up some photo catalogs and deleting the junk when I came across a set of pictures taken at sunset two years ago. Most of the pictures hadn't been processed. This is one of those that I found that I especially like. I don't know what type of birds these are but I love the design that shows on their wings.

We headed up to Picture Lake and Artist's Point this weekend, and lucked out with perfect weather, fall colors, great clouds, almost no wind, and countless delicious blueberries and huckleberries at every turn.
This lake is right on the side of the road in Heather Meadows, and the conditions combined to make for a beautiful picture. The elevation here is about 5000 feet, with Mount Shuksan towering at 10,000 feet.
This shot uses a 1.2 stop Grad-ND filter to darken the "real" image making the reflection look nearly the same strength at the actual real thing.
There's very little post-processing here other than cloning out some grass that was floating on the water and lightening up a tree. The reflections and colors are all real.
Castle at Disney World. There were some ducks swimming around that gave the reflection a ripple effect, but it will have to do :).
