This is not the first time I show this picture, but the old one seems to be corrupted (or whatever). Can't add, delete or do anything with it. And it's too bad because it's one of my favourites. :-( So I decided to post it one more time.

The water was so very still & beautiful. I spotted this Canada goose. His mate was hidden from view but not far away. I just had to reach for my camera...
Now you see why I don't get things done around here. I'm so easily distracted :-)
Reflections all over the place/Color in the gardens: Adimn Building pool water garden, US National Arboretum
The large dawn redwood next to the pool is a complicating factor, reflection-wise.
From a small stream in my neighborhood. I think I found another water nymph, looks a bit scared though.

I liked the reflection of the trees in this little pool. The water was at Millenium Bridge at Kirkby Stephen.
We spent a few days in Ottawa visiting our son and drove back to The Soo yesterday. It was a beautiful morning although they were predicting thunder storms. As we drove through Deux Rivieres, the reflections of the clouds on the water were so lovely. Here is a little example of what we saw - and yes, the sky really was that blue!

Reflections of a wooded shore on the Winnipeg River, northwestern Ontario. Knife painting on stretched canvas (oil, 11x14 in, sold).
That's about as good as it gets for reflections of "The Mountain" at Reflection Lakes right now. As the next month of July progresses, more and more snow will melt, but it won't be totally gone until either late July or sometime in August.
This is one of the snowy scenes that greeted me at one of the Reflection Lakes when I visited this national park 5 days ago. Other parts of another lake are melting a teeny bit, leaving spots of a lovely ice-blue water.
FYI, Stevens Canyon Road is open on the the west to Snow Lakes trailhead, and it's open on the east from Grove of the Patriarchs to Box Canyon. It's still closed in the middle due to winter damage, which means you can't make the connection from Ohanapecosh to Paradise or Longmire. Once the road is completely open, you should see all sorts of wildflowers growing along there.

This is an old picture that I found. I intended to post it a long time ago but never got around to it. It is a little stream out in the country (the middle of nowhere Kansas actually) that I drove by and turned around and went back to look again. The only thing I did to this was crop it. I hope you enjoy it.

I suppose this would have been more timely yesterday, being Bastille Day and all.
As they say, when it rains it pours, and appropriately on Friday the 13th, about everything that could go wrong did. Going out on Friday night only seemed to facilitate consuming way too much beer (and perhaps tequila as well...), which only resulted in a massive hangover on Saturday, whoops.
Anyway, I've got a lot to think about, and some directions to choose, and this image seemed appropriately reflective.

Reflections
Up on the Pikes above Angle Tarn, found this little pool with some cotton grass growing in it. Some nice reflections of the sky making for an interesting composition.
