As I look back on my recent trip to Canada, I think what I'll remember most are the mountains, turquoise waters, and the reflections. Did I mention that there were a lot more people than I expected? I guess this image kind of sums it all up. All in all, a great trip with the best friend and companion that anyone could ask for.

Standard 3 exposures HDR [-2,0,+2EV] in RAW/ISO100 at f/4.5 using Canon 18-55mm lens, handheld.
Photomatix
Tonemapped using the detail enhancer.
Photoshop
-Added one layer mask of "curves" to increase the contrast.
-Added one layer mask of "hue/saturation" to increase the color saturation.
-Sharpened using high pass sharpening (A-HAAAAAAAAA!)
-Added 2 layer masks of gradient to improve the sky and the building yellowish

Back to Langstone Harbour again yesterday evening to capture the sunset, clouds looked promising and some decent colour in the sky but sadly a north west wind was creating too much movement in the water for any reflections, still it was good to get out with the Nikon again!
1/10th second exposure using a Lee 0.9 ND grad filter.

I've seen several nice wildlife photos posted by others from North Point State Park outside of Baltimore, but no such luck for me. The few herons and egrets I saw were well out of reach for my setup. I did like the reflections at this Black Marsh Natural Area pool within the park.
NPR 5535 its tied down and idling northwest of Thief River Falls west of Dakota Junction - perfect placement for a reflection photo. The train's location was just the right distance from the Pennington 74 - 120th Ave grade crossing. I am also glad that this unit was the leader as it still has its original bell and not one of the electronic bells outfitted on many of the other SD60Fs on the Northern Plains roster.
