Early morning reflections at Burrator reservoir after the rain had cleared. The sun was generating some lovely surface mist on the water. Thanks for looking :-)

I always have a close connection with this part of Nottingham. .. I was born a stones throw from the left hand embankment. ... hard to find a new angle from here... so I don't try to, instead I just enjoy the moment.

A long exposure on a miserable day in south-east Iceland. There was a moment of contrast in the clouds while the lagoon was still; within minutes it was windy and the contrast had gone.
The reflections in the sand were not vivid enough in this picture of Manly Beach, so Photoshop Elements helped things along, and made a suitable submission for the Sliders Sunday group, where too much processing is encouraged. HSS to everyone!
we were told to remove or cover our shoes and went into a room covered in mirrors and that room led to this one.
We spent a much needed weekend down the coast last weekend. It had seemed like months since we'd been there last, even though in reality it was only a month ago, and I was seriously in need of some sea air.
On our way home we detoured and ventured further along the coast to Port Fairy, a charming little fishing village on the Great Ocean Road and also the last town on the famed Shipwreck Coast.
Port Fairy is a quaint little town that boasts wide streets lined with nineteenth century cottages, huge Norfolk pines and beautiful old stone churches. It's port, located on the picturesque Moyne river is one of Victoria's busiest fishing ports . . . the river is lined with boats and fishing craft and beautiful homes and cottages too.
As we strolled along the waterfront just on sunset we saw several fisherman staking their position for the evening and a couple of fisherman on the other side of the river who were preparing and selling todays catch on the waterfront to quite a large crowd who were eagerly waiting!
Our mallys were very excited checking out all of their fisherman and their catches of the day . . . some had their fish sitting in buckets of water, one had them in a net flapping on the pavement which had our little mally fascinated and totally intrigued . . . she definitely wanted to play with this new found friend.
Another fisherman near by was intrigued by our pair and bribed them with some raw tuna in exchange for a pat . . . which worked!
As we strolled along the waterfront, the sun set behind the towering Norfolk pines and even thought the skies were overcast the light was just gorgeous! I took this capture just before the sunset . . . I loved the crisp clear reflections!
