Wet reflections on my balcony.

Sydney: ''It's the coldest summer we've had in 50 years.''

Temperature used to be over 30'sC but lately it's hovering around 25C.

I don't mind it, it's cool at night and we had a lot of rain.

The photo is for everyone. I find it cool. SOOC with just some cropping and auto correction on Microsoft Windows.

In 2006, my daughter Christy and I spent a few days in Amsterdam before I was scheduled to teach a class in nearby Alkmaar for work. It was a fabulous experience! So, this time I returned to the Netherlands with my husband - no work involved. With so many bikes in the background, here's a reflection of Dick and I in a scooter mirror.

When will my reflection show who I am inside?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8GUCQQZS64

Look at me

You may think you see who I really am

But you'll never know me

Every day

It's as if I play a part

Now I see if I wear a mask

I can fool the world

But I cannot fool my heart

I am now in a world

Where I have to hide my heart

And what I believe in

But somehow I will show the world

What's inside my heart

And be loved for who I am

Why must we all conceal

What we think, how we feel?

Must there be a secret me I'm forced to hide?

I won't pretend that I'm someone else for all time

When will my reflection show who I am inside?

There's a heart that must be free to fly

That burns with a need to know

The reason why

A gorgeous sunny day in Spitsbergen, Svalbard just 500 miles fro the North Pole.

The Autumn colors are sleeping! Reflection is the change in direction of a wave front at an interface between two dissimilar media so that the wave front returns into the medium from which it originated. Common examples include the reflection of light, sound and water waves.Reflection of light may be specular (that is, mirror-like) or diffuse (that is, not retaining the image, only the energy) depending on the nature of the interface. Furthermore, if the interface is between dielectric-conductor or dielectric-dielectric media, the phase of the reflected wave may or may not be inverted, respectively. The reflections in a puddle on the boardwalk handrail after storms caught my eye.

Saving more Autumn photos to albums. Please do not feel the need to comment since so many. ;)

I'd been watching this charming little tree come into full blossom over the previous week. Thankfully, with all the rain, the water had risen high enough for the reflections.

Reflection is the change in direction of a wavefront at an interface between two different media so that the wavefront returns into the medium from which it originated. Common examples include the reflection of light, sound and water waves. The law of reflection says that for specular reflection the angle at which the wave is incident on the surface equals the angle at which it is reflected. Mirrors exhibit specular reflection.

The first lake! different from all of the other lakes.

More reflections in the Stata Center for Artificial Intelligence at MIT, Cambridge MA. The chromium plates in this photo make a strange pattern of the Daliesque windows, brown brick of the pavement and the blue sky. Again no Photoshop was used other than for cropping and minor tonal adjustments.

Afternoon reflections at Woodlawn Boat Ramp located in east Gulf Breeze, Florida. Yesterday was an overcast cloudy day which made a great afternoon for doing long exposures. This 59 second exposure was shot with the Sony A7R using the Sony FE 24-70mm f/4 lens along with a 10 stop circular ND filter mounted on a tripod.

This is dedicated to those who live their lives without reflection, that perhaps they see the need to think, see, explore...

It is a sad day...

Another Photoshop creation.

One of my first lenses. A Chinon 55mm f1.7 that came with a Chinon CX SLR. Where my Dad bought me this from neither of us can remember, but he got it me as a replacement for a Practica that had suffered too much abuse in my early college years. Was first made in the earlys 70's I think but didn't reach me until the early 90's. Used it for college projects for a few years till it suffered the ignominious fate of a lot of kit of this era: banishment to the loft, superceded by a succession of convenient compacts, both film and digital. After getting my first DSLR in 2011 I discovered M42 adapters on eBay and it has since risen from the ashes, becoming a favourite because of it's fast aperture and crazy bokeh! Thanks Dad!
