A day spent in Oak Harbor began with a sunrise line-up off the Toledo District on atcs. With nothing to go on, we dashed to the north bank of the Portage River and aimed our cameras in the golden path of the morning sun. Minutes later, NS extra 300 was across the river with an increasingly rare Throroughbred C44-9W and two cabless slugs. In an era of monotony, a surprise of this nature is warmly welcomed and was the highlight of our 22-train day.

Sandpipers take a sunrise break atop of a jetty wall covered in sea water, made for a perfect mirror reflection.
Autumn Reflections in Alaska - the trees, Chugach Mountains, and dramatic clouds were mirrored on Reflection Lake outside of Palmer, Alaska.
BNSF 282 and 2296 have a nice snowmelt reflection while spending their time in Willmar between local assignments.
I saw this reflection from on top of a hill. I ran down the hill to get close. It was early morning around 8am. The water was calm and the colors were super bright!
Have a close look at this one; and you'll see me in the bird's eye reflection!!!

Celebrity Reflection is the fifth, final, and largest Solstice-class cruise ship, her sister ships being Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Silhouette. Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse and Silhouette entered service in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 respectively. Reflection was launched in 2012.
Since October 2012, it has been owned and operated by Celebrity Cruises. It has one more deck than other Solstice-class cruise ships, has the first Aqua Class Suites and is the only ship to have Reflection Class Suites. She can accommodate over 3,609 passengers, more than any other Celebrity cruise ship.

Manayunk's development is greatly attributed to its canal, since it was a stable waterway that provided transportation and water for the town's mills and enabled the shipment of goods within a 108-mile span of navigable waters. The Schuylkill Navigation Company was fully incorporated in 1815 to provide safe transportation of goods along the Schuylkill River. At the time, horses pulling carts of goods for long distances on dirt roads did not meet the demands of industry, so the Company began its work in 1817 from Fairmount Dam in Philadelphia (which had already been built as part of Philadelphia's drinking water system). The system would include; 51 miles of canals, 114 locks and a tunnel and 32 dams ranging in height of 3 to 23 feet, overcoming a total fall of 610 feet. The Manayunk canal was completed in 1819 along with Flat Rock Dam (since Manayunk at the time was called "Flat Rock").
