The lovely Maroon Bells, near Aspen, is one of the most photographed scenes in Colorado... and for good reason. For me, shooting here is one of those bittersweet memories since, on one hand, it's an incredibly beautiful spot & a must-have shot if you live in Colorado... but then, on the other hand, you're there on a frigid fall morning with dozens & dozens of other photographers and you realize your shot isn't going to be anything unique. I always say it's all about the experience, and I still believe that, even though here the experience was shivering on a lakeshore a two-minute walk from the parking lot with over a hundred other crazy people with cameras.

Visiting Boston I was struck by how old buildings have been promoted to be part of the modern city. Here a typical reflection on mirror glass.

Thought I would upload a sunset shot taken at Rhossili beach earlier in the summer this year. Sadly summer seems to have ended with a bang but just hoping for a nice September. This is for Anthony Dyke (check out his great photostream if you can) who has got bored taking sunset shots!!

A revisit to old haunts from our time living in the US sees a shot taken one evening at Western Lake, Watercolor, FL.

I couldn't be bothered to lug a camera on hols so used the phone instead. The 5s has been around a bit and doesn't come with the best camera in the world but did a reasonable enough job capturing the tones on this one which, other than the addition of a frame, was pretty well straight off camera.

Despite being literally a stone's throw from the beach in places Western Lake is in fact freshwater, hence the lilies. It's not completely benign though - alligators enjoy the year-round warm water temperatures.

Reflections of Mt Sibbald during an amazing adventure with the man Mr Poulton and two awesome mates. Was a big spoil for my birthday a couple of years ago and a gift I won't ever forget.

There are many canals at the North of Lake Tekapo as they run off the mountains.

Not really.....reflection of a sunset.....was standing on a corner...watching the sunset mature.....and didn't realize the spectacular colours that were forming on the windows of the house I was standing in front of.......the dark silhouettes in the main window are young maple trees

This one was kinda fun. I lined the table with silicon, leveled it and filled it with about .5 inch of water. The glasses fell from about 8 feet and at the 7 foot mark each glass touched a metal rod. This caused each glass to move to the left and turn sideways. A few practice drops into a tray of rags allowed me to compose the image.

A black and white capture Taken from the walls of Kilchurn castle looking out over Loch Awe to the hills in the background with all the relections showing in the peaceful waters of the loch. i thought this was too dark but did not change it as i liked the flowers on the wall with the contrast of the reflections in the water
