A revisit of possibly the best sunset I have ever seen. Whilst I have posted photos of this boat previously, none have had this little water around it.
A black and white capture Taken from the walls of Kilchurn castle looking out over Loch Awe to the hills in the background with all the relections showing in the peaceful waters of the loch. i thought this was too dark but did not change it as i liked the flowers on the wall with the contrast of the reflections in the water
A revisit to old haunts from our time living in the US sees a shot taken one evening at Western Lake, Watercolor, FL.
I couldn't be bothered to lug a camera on hols so used the phone instead. The 5s has been around a bit and doesn't come with the best camera in the world but did a reasonable enough job capturing the tones on this one which, other than the addition of a frame, was pretty well straight off camera.
Despite being literally a stone's throw from the beach in places Western Lake is in fact freshwater, hence the lilies. It's not completely benign though - alligators enjoy the year-round warm water temperatures.

There's a lot going on in this photo, but I like the mix of light, reflections and atmosphere inside Temple Church, London.
There is a Black Neck Stilt at Wachodahatchee that lost it's nest and it's mate in one day. An alligator suddenly destroyed the nest, destroyed the family and devoured the mate. And so one stands alone. The question we all ask ourselves is, will there be another mate? Will there be a new nest. This is the way of nature, cruel as it is and hard to watch...
BNSF 282 and 2296 have a nice snowmelt reflection while spending their time in Willmar between local assignments.
Have a close look at this one; and you'll see me in the bird's eye reflection!!!
Yet another Rainbow Lorikeet close-up from home!
Hope you like it!!

Seen from a gondola in Venice, Italy, just before the worst of the COVID-19 outbreak began to overspread the country.
This album is posted on 19 Mar 2020 as an antidote to all the bad news about Covid-19 in Italy, and Venice in particular. The photographs were made at what should have been a high point of Carneval. Unfortunately, the day before Shrove Tuesday, Italy shut down Carneval celebrations, including in Venice.
For my family's part, we arrived as the full force of the outbreak was just beginning to strike Italy. It was our good fortune to be able see and enjoy our planned itinerary with only one or two cancellations, and to arrive back home in good health.
All best wishes for good health go to the Italian people as they deal with the virus.

Not really.....reflection of a sunset.....was standing on a corner...watching the sunset mature.....and didn't realize the spectacular colours that were forming on the windows of the house I was standing in front of.......the dark silhouettes in the main window are young maple trees
