On a hike on the Asitz.
Sometimes you just need to wait a bit: When I looked across the little lake I saw some hikers walking along it, but I was too slow to take the picture. Luckily, some other hikers where coming and I just had to wait 2 minutes to take the shot :)
As I cut the top of the cloud (the real one) I needed to fix that in PS. First I expanded the canvas size and then used content aware fill to fill the blank area. Some cloning & stamping later I got a fake top for the cloud. Then I adjusted the luminance level of the blues and that was about it.

The reflection of over-hanging tree branches, and clouds and the blue sky, on the undulating surface of the river.
When the sky meets the land
When water invades the sand
When skies of blue reflect below
Clouds of white on the lake they flow
Travelling the land and the sky
Placing beauty in every looking eye

I'm headed back to Southern Utah tomorrow for the annual Hurricane MTB Festival. I'm really looking forward to riding bikes and hanging out with friends in the desert, even if it is a bit cold and damp this time. And that's ok - interesting weather makes the best photos :-)

Most of the time I photograph reflections in water when there is no or little wind resulting in reflections as a mirror. Sometimes people ask me if it ever is windy in Groningen. Well yes, and so here is the proof... :-)
Taken at Corpus den Hoorn, Groningen, The Netherlands.
Fuji X-E2 + XF10-24mm at 15mm, f/8, 15 sec. exposure at ISO 200.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to comment and/or fave.

You are a mirror of yourself in others. Whatever you want, give. Be the best reflection of yourself.....

It was one of those things that you simply cannot pass. That day there was no wind, so the lake's surface was completely still.
The area is called Staðarsveit, and it's in the southern part of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. And the mountain is called Þorgeirsfell.
