London Reflections

Early morning at Sydney Harbour, Sydney, Australia.

Jesus loves you.

The flooded carpark at Baiter Park in Poole, Dorset UK.

The view beyond is across Poole Harbour and Sandbanks.

It was a day full of Blue Sky, Rainbows, Cumulous Clouds, followed by grapple snow on the west end. A bit like Spring.

Oropos ~ A walk by the port

Reflections of a glass globe using a couple of old mirrors.

On the roof deck of the new National Gallery of Singapore. The white spire of St.Andrew's Cathedral can be seen on the left, the very tall "Swissotel - The Stamford" hotel by the architect I.M.Pei is in the middle while the new "South Beach" towers by Foster & Partners are on the right. The reflecting pool is also a skylight for the building below. Do enlarge for a better view (handheld, without tripod).

Reflections in a series of glass fins attached to a large window. How many reflections do you see? NB29712

Lots of amazing world in Las Vegas. You can find me there :)

Ipswich Marina just after sunset with mist and fog beginning to close in blocking out the last of the sun - flat calm water producing an incredible reflection

Taken at Largs, New South Wales. Australia. Largs is a small village on the eastern outskirts of Maitland ( just a few minutes from home).

Reflection of the Thalay Sagar peak on Kedartal (a glacial lake) situated at an altitude of 15580 ft in the Uttarakhand state of India. The place can be reached after two day's trek on some difficult terrains. But the view is worthy of all the effort.

As I look back on my recent trip to Canada, I think what I'll remember most are the mountains, turquoise waters, and the reflections. Did I mention that there were a lot more people than I expected? I guess this image kind of sums it all up. All in all, a great trip with the best friend and companion that anyone could ask for.

Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.

Posted for Window Wednesdays.

On our recent Eastern Washington road trip, we visited the Grand Coulee Dam. This photograph was taken standing on the dam, with the reflection of the Columbia Gorge, Roosevelt Lake and part of the dam in the windows. The strangest thing about being allowed on the dam itself was the security. It was higher than in any airport I have ever been in, and we were followed around by security men with guns the entire time.

The Grand Coulee Dam is the largest concrete structure in the world and is bigger than the Hoover Dam. Strangely enough, I had never heard of it before.

A bit of the kitchen, a bit of the living room, a bit of the forest outside - all seen from my armchair.

I photographed this stately bird last month while taking my infrared camera for a walk around Lindo Lake in Lakeside.

I used channel swapping to turn the sky blue. Here is a link to a tutorial on playing with infrared images. www.lifepixel.com/photo-tutorials/infrared-photoshop-videos

I've been taking infrared images for at least 15 years with a total of 3 different cameras. It's much easier to take infrared images digitally that it was in the film days. If you like this look, I have an album of infrared photographs, creatively named Infrared.
