New York City (NYC) viewed from Jersey City, NJ. It was a great night for shooting as the Hudson was perfectly calm. Venus star trail is also visible just above the city. This was towards the end of a long photo shoot overnight and ended with high tide coming in and me not noticing that fact until too late. All was well though except for a bit of a soaking.

More London Riverside, London
The Tower of London and fountains at City Hall reflected in the glass walled building of PwC a.k.a. Batman building.
Never managed to get this shot before, either no rain (bizarrely), too many people, no people... Lucky tonight though!
One of the spans of the railway viaduct over the Waulkmill Glen Reservoir in the Dams to Darnley Country Park.
In the pool by the Casa Grande, Hearst Castle.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by and for all of your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

A shot walking back from Temple Bay, with the cliffs, and storm clouds beyond, reflected in the wet sand.
Take time to stop today
Take time to stop a while
Reflect on how life changes
Then take the time to smile
Know that as the days go by
These things that challenge you
Will one day just be memories
Of times you have gone through
Look back now on yesterday
And all you have achieved
Recognise the strengths you’ve gained
The blessings you’ve received
One day in the future
You will think about today
You’ll see just how these challenges
Have helped you on your way

San Francisco, California
winterly duck pond at sunset ...
the duck painted with their bow-waves - till I came the surface was plain ...
as I arrived the pond smiled and showed his wrinkles ...
Mono Lake, California
An outcropping of tufa is reflected in the quiet evening waters of the lake. A duck investigates.
Tufa columns are a calcium carbonate rock (limestone) created when fresh water springs rise up from the floor of a saline lake such as Mono Lake. When the lake’s water levels dropped through water diversions to Los Angeles, the tops of the tufa columns emerged.
