The Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle is a nine-acre site belonging to the Seattle Art Museum which includes 20-plus outdoor sculptures and works of art which people can wander into and around.
Built on former industrial land between the Seattle Center (home of the Space Needle) and Puget Sound, the sculptures are located among plants and trees and seem part of the natural landscape itself.
There are works by Alexander Calder – whose Eagle is very similar to the Flamingo in Chicago – Richard Serra and Claes Oldenburg, among others.

The Palazzo Ducale in Mantua, originally built in the 14th century, is a stunning example of Renaissance architecture, with later additions that reflect the shifting tastes of the ruling Gonzaga family. The palace served as the seat of the Gonzaga dynasty, who ruled Mantua from the 14th to the 18th century. Over time, it expanded into a sprawling complex with multiple courtyards, gardens, and grand halls, designed to showcase the family's power and wealth. The structure blends Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements, reflecting the evolving architectural trends during the period.
Architecturally, the Palazzo Ducale features impressive façades, vast internal courtyards, and intricately decorated rooms. One of its most famous elements is the Camera degli Sposi (Bridal Chamber), a room adorned with the remarkable frescoes by Andrea Mantegna, which depict the Gonzaga family in a realistic and groundbreaking manner. The complex also includes the Sala dei Venti, the Sala dei Giganti, and the Sala del Pisanello, each showcasing a mix of frescoes, stuccoes, and intricate decorations that highlight the sophistication of Renaissance court life.
Artistically, the Palazzo Ducale is a treasure trove of Renaissance masterpieces, with works by some of Italy's most renowned artists. In addition to Mantegna, the palace features contributions from artists such as Giulio Romano, who worked on the palace's interiors. The frescoes, tapestries, and sculptures within the palace exemplify the fusion of art and power, where the visual splendor was intended to celebrate the Gonzaga family's status while also reinforcing their political and cultural dominance. The palace is a reflection of Mantua's importance as a center of art and culture during the Renaissance.
