Also on a walk in San Jose, CA, on July 17, I saw this building reflected in windows across the street. I leaned against a tree, pumped up the ISO rating as high as I could, and hoped for the best.
I think it turned out pretty well.

This is one of a collection of sunset photos that I have taken and then created this water reflection effect in Photoshop. Taken on the Isle of Wight at the South of England.

Reflecting Absence is the name of the 9/11 Memorial designed by Michael Arad and Peter Walker. It consists of a field of trees interrupted by two large, recessed pools, the footprints of the Twin Towers. The names of the victims of the attacks (including those from the Pentagon, American Airlines Flight 77, United Airlines Flight 93, and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing) are inscribed on the parapets surrounding the waterfalls.
The amazing Rosetta stone at the British Museum.
It was found in Rashid (Rosetta) Egypt, in 1799, inscribed with three versions of a decree issued at Memphis, Egypt in 196 BC during the Ptolemaic dynasty on behalf of King Ptolemy V. The top and middle texts are in Ancient Egyptian using hieroglyphic scripts and Demotic script, respectively, while the bottom is in Ancient Greek. As the decree has only minor differences between the three versions, the Rosetta Stone proved to be the key to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphs. (distilled from Wikipedia)

reflect the agony that autumn descends upon you, call all living beings, scream, show your scars, announce your rebellion, pick up your arms, and reflect your past and reflect on your past. Put on your shields. Pick up your swords and your arrows and your bows. To annihilate autumn.
And yes, I am back.

Reflection created in Photoshop
Scientists say there is an finite amount of water on this planet. Well they obviously have never made water in photoshop. Basically, what I'm saying is that this pond doesn't exist and yes, I am proud that I spent hours creating this "fake" reflection. It turned out better than I expect. Oh ya, and I put a turtle in my imaginary pond. Because turtles are awesome.
