These are some dried peppers that were given to us and which I like due to the colors, shapes and textures.
Lighting: I first placed the peppers on a mirror and then lit them with two Yongnuo manual strobes in 8.6 inch Lastolite soft boxes, positioned on either side of the peppers, and pointed at the center. The strobes and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603N.
Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Objects album. For each image in the set, and there are over 2000 of them, I describe how I set up the lighting for that particular shot. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/

Ice melts on the Snake River in downtown Idaho Falls. The Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seen in the distance.
What a beautiful night. I love the Reflection Lakes--with no road noise, there's no sound at all.

In just a few days Spring shall commence. Yet, the forecast calls for a windchill in the minus 20 Celsius range over the next few nights. Seems like winter just doesn't want to let go.
The above is a shot of trees reflecting on a watery section of the Cornwall Canal at sunset several weeks ago when there was a thaw (much warmer back then than now).
Reprocessing one of my fave shots from a trip to Amsterdam using Exposure X. Alien skin is rocking a winter sale and I wrote about my impressions on their software HERE. Have a look, and give it a spin.
