Have a nice week ;)
The 8.2-meter-wide primary mirror of Gemini Telescope reflects the stars in this photo captured by a remote camera during one of last summer's timelapse shoots. The first light of a rising moon lit the top shutter orange.
An abstract collage of reflections and ripples in a rain puddle. Created for the TMI Challenge ITSO ... Abstract Art vaguely in the style of Jean Arp.

"Reflected Tranquility:" I hope you don't tire too much of this view, as I kept returning to this spot in the short time I had at Yosemite. It was probably the most peaceful and picturesque view I came across. Standing in the shade of some very tall trees and looking out at the view of Yosemite Falls and its reflection, along with the majestic mountains standing tall, I captured the scene at various focal lengths and in as many multiple lighting and sky conditions as I could. This image is actually a multiple vertical-image panorama stitched together to make a horizontal to be able to capture the entire scene. What you can't 'hear' through a photo alone were the sounds of the waterfall crashing loudly onto the rocky wall along the long way down (2,425 feet). That mixed with the most beautiful songs of birds in the trees made for a harmonious treat for the ears as well.
Happy Fence Friday everyone.

This is a 6 minute exposure of an image I posted some weeks ago down at Weston-super-mare, just as the sun was setting.

Because the sun was so low on the horizon in October, sometimes the light was so nice that you could take advantage of it all day long. But if the sky was clouded in the morning and the sun would make it's way to illuminate them, they would unleash a spectacle in the sky, that reflected on the entire landscape.
Hope you like it, enjoy!

This is a real capture of a Praying Mantis on a mirror. He decided to visit us one day and ended up being a fairly easy to work with model.
I had a light right of camera and one pointed at the wall that was reflecting in the mirror. I had that light really bright to wash out the white wall.
I like this picture, the reflection is pretty and you also can see the bottom of the lake on the picture.
Very still water in Little Mellon Lake created lots of shoreline reflections to find compositions in.

30—Reflect
Yesterday and today I have thought about and written “my story” of my life experiences and how they’ve shaped who I am for a virtual sermon discussion group my husband and I are a part of. It has caused me to really pause and reflect about the people and events of my life, God, His involvement and the things I’ve learned and how I’ve grown. It’s been a good process and kind of scary to think of sharing this with others and also freeing knowing I don’t have to hide the real me and I can be authentic.
