You cannot see the sun as it sets down in the trees on many areas on the pines but you do get the best reflections in the late evening sun
The Sun lit clouds reflecting on the wet sand.

This was my first time shooting star trails away from home. I
hoped for the aurora borealis, and was lucky there. I had no idea that the bright stars of the Big Dipper would be the main stars to reflect in the lake before me -- that was a surprise and a big bonus! The light on the trees is from the dike in the left of the scene. 10/2015

This is part of a museum building which reflects the Rotterdam skyline but I decided to just capture the sky in this shot ... and you might just spot one of the trees that are on the rooftop of the building

This is a very plentiful bird, we see them everywhere. This time we could not pass up the opportunity as all things were in our favor, bird, water, light. There was so much to see in Merced NWR. The Merced National Wildlife Refuge encompasses 10,258 acres of wetlands, native grasslands, vernal pools, and riparian areas.

After a busy week of work, and then the remnants of Hurricane Harvey moving through dumping lots of rain, I was at the end of the week without a photo for this assignment. With the bad weather, outdoor photos were not going to happen. So, what's a photographer to do?!?!? Dig out her light tools and light up the bathroom mirror.
Setting the light wand which flashes alternating colors on the sink, I moved the camera to capture this photo. The reflections are from the bathroom mirror and some reflecting off the white sink top.

There is a circular pool in Sultan Ahmet Park, between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia Mosque. I scouted the area the afternoon before when it was jam packed with cruise ship tourists and then returned to the area early in the next morning to beat the crowds and positioned myself to catch a reflection of the Blue Mosque in the pool before they turned the fountains on.
