The BayLTC reefer in which I found instructions for on the RailBricks website.
I ordered this one through Lego DesignByMe. Unfortunately, I couldn't order the correct doors to go with it, so I made my own reefer doors. I also made the stickers (including the NMRA 2008 ones, not shown here) with Microsoft Word and Stapels sticker paper.

Refrigerated containers known as reefers stacked in waiting at the Port of Portland's Terminal 6 facility.
This is a Ho Scale Athearn 50' mechanical reefer lettered for CN #N.I.R.X.16520. The car is straight out of the box. This car was sold to Canadian Northern Feb 2010.

The "refrigeration" unit for the Bourne Cottage at the Empire Mine in Grass Valley, California. The mine opened in 1850 and produced 5.8 million ounces of gold before it closed in 1956. (The earliest 'fridge' I could find.)
