My route to work crosses (intentionally) the CSX mainline... this morning it was a mile of reefers pissing off everyone but me.
“It has sex, drugs and zombies—what more could you ask for?” — “Reefer Madness, The Musical” actress Lacy Stephens.
How about a rock and roll band onstage? Yep, it has that too!
Don't miss CSU, Chico's Department of Music and Theatre's production of the hilarious/satirical "Refer Madness, The Musical," in mid-November. Directed by new Department of Music and Theatre faculty member Matthew Teague Miller, the show will be staged in Chico State's intimate Wismer Theatre.
Performances take place Nov. 12-14 and 17-19 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 14 and 15 at 2 p.m. Just added is a special midnight performance on Friday, November 13. For tickets, call the University Box Office, 530-898-6333. It is recommended to purchase tickets well in advance to guarantee getting a seat for what probably is the most anticipated School of the Arts production for the Fall, 2015 semester.
Based on the 1936 anti-marijuana propaganda film, "Reefer Madness," the musical stage adaptation is even more outrageous and hilarious!
Keep the kiddies home for this one as the show has sexual and violent content; it is not recommended for children under the age of 13.

Wooden refrigerated cars (here a double-sheathed insulated type) were common before 1950. They were typically cooled by ice bunkers and ventilation, although this particular car bears signs of modification (the blocked-out window, for example)
