Macro Mondays Redux 2019 - "Red". HMM!
This tiny bird is perched on a one foot Christmas tree that serves as a centerpiece on my kitchen table.
Wishing a very Happy New Year to all of my Macro Monday friends. Can't wait to see the challenges presented to us in 2020.

This is the Roof of the historical architecture called "Dojunkai Apartment House", which was constructed in the early 20th century, and it was one of the most advanced Western Style Apartment at that time. The building didn't burn down through the World War, but it was finally torn down by the government in 2003. This Aparment does not exist anymore in this 21st century, and it's been taken over by a modern High-Tech apartment which has 20 floors.

For those of you who’ve been to Manhattan, you’ve likely been shocked to see aircraft flying so low. Because I could not wait for perfect alignment and light, I did the next best thing with Photoshop!
As friend and fellow Flickr member johnwmacdonald put it, it was at this point when I used Photoshop it ceased being a photograph and became an illustration.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
This bad boy was sitting in the Duluth Harbor, on detention. The previous day he rammed into the side of the channel that the Aerial Bridge crosses. He "claims" that something malfunctioned. Anyway, the Coast Guard was holding the ship while they investigated (can you say "blood test?"). This was taken while on a harbor tour.

Whilst I was moderately happy with my previous shot of the Pulpit Rock at Cape Schanck, I felt that it was lacking some clouds to really bring it out. So here is another attempt - one that I am happier with.
20A stalled coming up the Slope due to an engine failure which then bunched up the eastbounds. A helper set was sent to rescue the distressed train. Once together they continued east and here lighting up the dense air at Lilly, PA. Over 25 minutes of continuous traffic passed as the eastbounds roared up the mountain in succession along with a couple westbounds.
The original photo is one of my personal favourties. I often like to de-saturate shots to the point where there's just a hint of colour. Many others really don't like that look, and so I thought I'd try putting some colour back into this one (felt sort of like I was colorizing an old B&W movie) :D
A beautiful day on the grounds of Drottningholm Palace, home of the Swedish Royal family. Though no royals to be seen, during the summer months there are many locals and tourists alike walking about this beautiful outdoor garden space. The 18th century-style architecture, painted in traditional Scandinavian shade of yellow, is a popular place to photograph - with tourists, or as the backdrop for wedding parties.
