It was always going to be all natural as the theme of the week, but what subject? Trusty welsh poppy once again came to the rescue. There were two further flowers that I could have used, one was very dog eared and beaten. I was surprised that there were the three flowers, but then it’s been very mild thus far this winter.
It is wrinkled and crinkled as well, but safer to stick with all natural.
Thanks for stopping HMM
Macro Mondays - Redux 2018
May 7: Jagged
Some broken concrete on my porch. This close you would think that there is a gapping crack on the porch. The total length of this portion of the crack is about 4 cm (1.5 in).
Happy New Year!
365 my own way done. One photo only every day in 2018. Maybe not particularly artistic but told my story to me.
This theme ("Green" from November) chose me. We bought some sprouts and the one green sprout amongst the purple ones was just asking to be used.
Follow me sign on a diecast 1:43 scale Aeroflot Gaz 24 Volga follow me airport car. Taken with a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm 3.5 lens on an extension tube on a Canon SL1 camera.
I had a good time with the transportation theme for Macro Monday earlier this year, so I thought it would be fun to create something related to planes and cars in addition to the railroad stuff I already created.
Resurrecting the Macro Mondays' theme "Flame" from January.
Unfortunately the only thing to come out of this was a scorched egg. I should have learned my lesson when the beans I bought from that guy didn't do anything either. At least I know the bridge is real.
For Flickr Friday's "Mythology" and Macro Mondays' "Redux 2018" challenges.
For this photo, I lined a metal bowl with foil, set the egg inside on a pile of tissue, drizzled it with rum, set it on fire, and turned off the lights. I guess I made a deconstructed egg nog.
To see Beauty in the little things is a joy forever
Wish you beautiful New Year

Il tocco di eleganza di un centrotavola dove il vetro, le candele e i fiori sono in perfetta armonia.
Theme: glass
This picture is for the group Macro Monday's and the theme this week is "Redux 2018".
I was talking to my Mom today and told her what the theme was and to tell me an item to photograph for the group. I told her that just about any idea would be able to fit into one of the 51 themes of the year. She said to lay a watch on a calendar showing New Years Eve/Day representing that it's "almost time for a new year". So that's what I did.
This photo represents: February 19, 2018 - Fasteners; March 12, 2018 - Imperfection; April 9, 2018 - Circles; September 3, 2018 - Glass.
"The Lion King" movie was one of my favorites so of course I had to buy a Simba watch. It needs a new battery and is pretty scratched up but it's still my favorite watch. :)
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!!
Macro Monday: Redux 2018
January 15 theme "A Favorite Novel (Fiction)" - "Anne of Green Gables" by Lucy Maud Montgomery
This was my intended theme, however, I noticed that it would also work for "Green" (Nov. 12) as well as "Plastic" (April 23)
From the April 23, 2018 theme: Plastic. I didn’t originally participate in this theme.
This purple elephant is a plastic 1980's advertising piece from a graphic arts company in Japan that was demonstrating color with crayons. The elephant features a cavity that holds the crayons. You access it by lifting the head. It folds wide open with a hinge on the back. You can see where the head opens, from the mouth to right in front of the ear. The crayons stand up vertically in his belly. He also has glow in the dark eyes. I don’t remember if there was a disclaimer about small parts around kids, but certainly would not suitable as it measures just 1-1/2” tall and 1-1/8” wide. Crayons are 1” long.
The item behind elephant is a recycled plastic dog toy made in the USA. Santa Claus brought to my little girl, but she had no interest in it at all. It’s a “raspberry” ball that measures 1-1/2” in diameter.
Happy Macro Mondays and Happy New Year!

My effort for Macro Mondays - Redux 2018 - never really understood this topic when it came around in November - taken me this long to work out how to do it. HMM

For "Macro Mondays" "Redux 2018" - theme : multicolor .
There were at least 300 slightly different patents for barbed wire in the late 19th - early 20th centuries. The above is just one such.
I coupled on a 10mm extension ring to get closer.
Bathysphere Redux, 2018 A rework of Bathysphere, which I’ve posted before with a white background. Adding the midnight blue completely changes the context, making the colors pop in a very different way.
