Annual Dialogue: Koshi Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge Hub annual dialogue 2022
The annual dialogue is a flagship event for the KDKH, a member-driven platform that amalgamates the exchange of knowledge, ideas, innovations, and practices from the Koshi Basin countries – China, Nepal, and India – and beyond. The platform is also used to discuss research findings, good practices, and innovations that could bolster policies and plans for reducing multi-hazard disaster risks at a transboundary level.

Coveney on Irish Sea Trawler to view new discard reduction nets.
Mr Simon Coveney T.D. Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine today went to sea on an Irish Sea Prawn Trawler to view at first hand a demonstration of innovative fishing nets ,which significantly reduce unwanted cod catches . Minister Coveney was on board the MFV Syracuse owned by Mr Ivan Wilde of Skerries on a fishing trip in the prawn fishery in the Irish Sea. Mr Wilde has pioneered the use of this new type of fishing gear in Ireland.

The Tintic Standard Reduction Mill is an abandoned refinery on the west slope of Warm Springs Mountain near Genola, Utah.
The reducing process used was an acid-brine chloridizing and leaching process which became outdated, leading to the abandonment of the site in 1925. It has been speculated that the mill may be the contributor of heavy metal pollution in the Warm Springs which lie below it.
