One of the many individual buildings in Ditchling. Formerly known as Bank House, it dates back to 1753, and is a prime example of a Tudor building.
It is now an Estate Agent
Built in 1874 during the Gold Rush era that saw Wandiligong's population swell to its largest number, the Manchester Unity hall would have been a focal point for some of the townsfolk. Built of red brick with stone detailing, the hall's parapet featuring the date plaque features some elegant scroll work. The hall is remarkably intact and still has its original supper room below the stage at the rear of the building on the lower level. The hall represents the activities of Friendly Societies in country towns during the Victorian era.
Wandiligong is a town in north-eastern Victoria in the alpine region around 330 kilometres from Melbourne. Established in the 1850s as part of the Victorian Gold Rush, Wandiligong became a hub for many gold miners, including a large Chinese community. At its peak, the town was home to over two thousand inhabitants and boasted shops, churches, a public library, halls and even an hotel. Much has changed since those heady days of the gold rush, and the picturesque town nestled in a valley and built around the Morses Creek, is now a sleepy little town full of picturesque houses which are often let to visitors to the area. The whole town is registered with the National Trust of Australia for its historic landscape and buildings of historic value.
Redcar railway station is the most inconvenient ever; it is never clear whether your Transpennine is going to come into Platform 1 or 2; there is no parking on platform 2 side, and the only way from 1 to 2 is up a lot of steps, over a bridge and down steps on the other side, a nuisance when you have heavy luggage.Every time we went to the ticket office to make enquiries, it was shut. There are signs up that the station is to be renovated. Meanwhile, on platform 2 side, you can look at the portraits of local people in the arches.
WASHINGTON NC: An old building in the old city of Washington NC. Known affectionately as "Little Washington" by so many in North Carolina, the local residents are a bit sensitive about this nickname pointing out that Washington NC existed before Washington DC, or BIG Washington. Consequently, the townsfolk refer to their town as "The ORIGINAL Washington."
OK, I checked on the dates each city was founded. Sure enough, "Little Washington" was founded in 1776 while, uh, the other one was founded in 1790.

Another shot from my journey to Florida.
I know it is a bit late, but my good bud Jordan Voth was showing me a cool new PS trick and I HAD to try it out!
I threw my own little twist on it, so let me know what you think!
p.s. I already notice her hand is cut off =/ I'm quite sad about it, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway.

Erchless, a redbrick mansion whose name means “by the stream” in Gaelic, was home to six generations of the Chisholm family before being purchased by the Town of Oakville in 1977. Since 1991, Erchless Estate has been open to the public as part of the Oakville Museum, which also includes the custom house, and the old post office.
Excerpt from oakvillehistory.org:
Erchless and the Custom House (1835-1856), 8 Navy Street: Land on the southeast bank of the Sixteen was reserved for the family, and in about 1835 the north wing of what is now “Erchless” was built. It served as store, customs and toll house, and there Robert Kerr Chisholm lived, most probably in its upper storey. The centre wing of the “Erchless” was added in 1839…
The home was extended again prior to R.K. Chisholm’s marriage to Flora Matilda Lewis in 1858; construction on the south wing was started in 1856 and the home was named “Erchless”.
I love those old red-brick churches, in contrast to the green on the surrounding cemetery. Here, the trunk and branches of a birch tree gave me a great frame.

Littlestone Water Tower.
The 120ft (36.58m) high red brick tower was built in 1890 by a man named Henry Tubbs to supply water to his properties including the nearby golf course.
